David Freese (ankle) is out of the Cardinals' starting lineup again on Saturday against the Nationals.

Freese rolled his ankle Monday in the indoor batting cage at Minute Maid Park and is progressing slowly. He'll try to return for Sunday's series finale with Washington. Matt Carpenter will continue to fill in.

Michael Conforto clobbered his fourth home run of the season Saturday in the Mets’ 6-5 victory over the Giants.

Conforto contributed three hits while raising his average to a super-human .365. He finished a triple shy of the cycle. Giants starter Matt Cain simply had no answer for Conforto, getting beat in all three of their encounters. Conforto began 2015 in High-A and finished the year in the major leagues. Now he might be the Mets’ best hitter. His hot bat is a big reason why the Mets have won eight in a row.

Jesse Hahn made a statement in his season debut Saturday, holding the Astros scoreless over 6 2/3 innings in the Athletics' 2-0 win.

Hahn gave up just three hits and walked two in the game. He began the season at Triple-A Nashville after struggling in spring, but he posted a 2.04 ERA in four starts in the minors prior to being recalled. With Chris Bassitt on the disabled list, Hahn will keep his rotation spot for at least the next few weeks. If he pitches well, his stay in the A's rotation will very likely extend beyond Bassitt's return.

Avisail Garcia (hamstring) is not in the White Sox lineup Saturday against the Orioles.

He's not expected to play on Sunday either. The White Sox are off on Monday, which means the earliest we'd see him is Tuesday. Garcia tweaked his hamstring in Friday night's loss. "It’s a little tight," said manager Robin Ventura. "I don’t think it’s a DL situation there but he definitely did something going down the line there." Jerry Sands will DH and bat seventh Saturday with Garcia sidelined.

Anthony DeSclafani (oblique) felt discomfort in his side during Friday's rehab start for Low-A Dayton.

He reported feeling a "sensation" in his injured oblique after throwing 77 pitches over five innings. "We’re really doing everything we can to avoid a setback," said manager Bryan Price. "He was good until the last inning or so, and then it was an issue." DeSclafani was expected to join the Reds for his next start but that seems unlikely now.
Apr 30 - 6:24 PM

Raisel Iglesias is in danger of missing Sunday's start against the Pirates with a right shoulder injury.

Iglesias said he felt a "pinch" on Friday and was examined by team doctors. This could be a recurrence of the shoulder fatigue that plagued him late last season. Louisville right-hander Tim Adleman was scratched from his scheduled start Saturday in case the Reds need him to fill in on Sunday. Iglesias' first five starts have yielded mixed results. His 3.49 ERA is impressive but opponents are hitting .296 against him with four homers in 115 at-bats. Fantasy owners should prepare to be without him on Sunday.
Apr 30 - 6:18 PM

Yasiel Puig is not in the Dodgers' lineup Saturday against the Padres.

He'll get the day off after laboring through a dismal 0-for-4 showing on Friday. Puig has watched his average fall from .347 to .250 over his last 10 games. Enrique Hernandez will fill in at right field and bat sixth.
Apr 30 - 5:42 PM

Jordan Zimmermann continued his domination of the American League on Saturday, improviing to 5-0 on the season with seven innings of one-run ball against the Twins.

Zimmermann scattered six hits on the afternoon and punched out seven without issuing a free pass. The only damage against him on the afternoon came on a solo home run off the bat of Byung-ho Park in the fourth inning. He now boasts a tremendous 0.55 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 23/7 K/BB ratio over 33 innings on the season. He'll look to continue his impressive run when he takes the hill against the Rangers at home on Friday.
Apr 30 - 5:05 PM

Devin Mesoraco remains out of the Reds starting lineup on Saturday.

It sounds as though Reds manager Bryan Price wanted to give his young backstop a few days off to clear his head after starting the season in a .140/.218/.160 funk with only one RBI. Tucker Barnhart is behind the plate again on Saturday and batting seventh for the Reds against Francisco Liriano and the Pirates.
Apr 30 - 2:35 PM

Joe Panik (groin) is not in the Giants starting lineup for Saturday afternoon's contest against the Mets.

Panik suffered a minor groin injury during the ninth inning of Friday's game and will be held out on Saturday as a precautionary measure. Kelby Tomlinson will start in his place and bat eight against opposing right-hander Jacob deGrom.
Apr 30 - 12:36 PM

Saturday's contest between the Cubs and Braves was postponed due to rain.

No makeup date has been announced. Make sure to avoid both of these clubs when making your DFS lineups for the early slate on Saturday.
Apr 30 - 11:28 AM

Adam Conley fired 7 2/3 no-hit innings in Friday’s 6-3 win over the Brewers.

Marlins manager Don Mattingly made the bold call to pull Conley after 116 pitches. Jonathan Lucroy eventually broke up the no-hitter with a one-out single off Jose Urena in the bottom of the ninth. While Conley didn’t get a chance to finish off the no-hitter, it was still a very encouraging outing. The southpaw walked four and struck out seven while inducing 14 swinging strikes. While he’s been a bit up and down in the early part of the season, he continues to show why he deserves consideration in mixed fantasy leagues. Conley lines up for a start against the Diamondbacks at home next week.
