According to Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times, the Dodgers aren't trying to trade Andre Ethier.

With all of the rumors about their potential interest in Torii Hunter, it has been speculated that Ethier would be the odd man out in Los Angeles. The Dodgers maintain, however, that Ethier -- who just inked a five-year $85 million extension in June -- isn't going anywhere.

Corey Seager smashed a game-tying home run in the ninth inning on Sunday, which ultimately led to the Dodgers defeating the Rockies 4-3.

Seager tied the game at 2-2 with a run-scoring triple in the seventh inning. He then tagged Rockies closer Adam Ottavino for the game-tying blast with two outs in the ninth inning to force extras, where Daniel Descalso socked a walk-off homer in the 10th. Seagr finished the day 3-for-5 and is now hitting a robust .313/.371/.523 with 26 homers and 72 RBI on the season.

Jharel Cotton earned his second victory of the season on Sunday, firing seven impressive innings of one-run baseball against the Rangers.

Cotton punched out five on the afternoon and didn't issue a free pass. The only blemish on his day was a solo homer off the bat of Adrian Beltre in the seventh inning. The rookie right-hander has been tremendous in his limited time with the A's, compiling a 1.44 ERA, 0.68 WHIP and 16/3 K/BB ratio over 25 innings. He's worth a look in all formats for his final start of the season on Saturday against the Mariners in Seattle.

Bryce Harper is listed as day-to-day due to soreness in his left thumb.

The Nationals don't believe that his injury is serious, but he'll head for precautionary X-rays on Monday to make sure. Harper sustained his injury during Sunday's game when he slid awkwardly into third base after Jung Ho Kang faked a tag.
Sep 25 - 6:05 PM

Mark Melancon earned his 43rd save of the season Sunday in the Nationals' 10-7 defeat of the Pirates.

A nice bounceback outing from the veteran closer, who blew a save against his former team on Friday night. He worked a 1-2-3 inning Sunday on just 12 pitches, striking out one. Melancon has a 1.76 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and 61/12 K/BB ratio in 66 1/3 innings this season, and now 13 saves as a member of the Nationals.
Sep 25 - 5:52 PM

Eduardo Rodriguez struck out a career-high 13 over 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball, netting a no-decision in Sunday's 3-2 extra-innings win over the Rays.

It was a record-setting day for the Red Sox, as Rodriguez combined with the bullpen to strike out 21 Rays batters over the first nine innings. The left-hander lost out on a win when Tampa knotted things up in the eighth inning, but much more important is that E-Rod is hitting his stride as the playoffs near with a 2.03 ERA over his last eight starts. Boston is playing its best baseball of the year, as well, with 11 straight victories. Rodriguez will close out his regular season at home against the Blue Jays.
Sep 25 - 5:22 PM

Edwin Diaz tallied his 17th save Sunday in the Mariners' defeat of the Twins.

Diaz struck out one in a scoreless 1-2-3 ninth to preserve the Mariners' one-run lead. It was a reassuring outing from the hard-throwing 22-year-old right-hander, who blew a save Wednesday when he surrendered a game-tying solo home run to Jose Bautista.
Sep 25 - 5:20 PM

Asdrubal Cabrera finished 2-for-5 with four RBI in the Mets' 17-0 rout of the Phillies on Sunday.

That's not a football score. Jose Reyes also drove in four runs for the Mets in the afternoon outburst at Citi Field, and Curtis Granderson slugged his 30th home run of the season. Cabrera singled in the sixth inning and popped a grand slam off Frank Herrmann in the seventh. The veteran shortstop has been a steadying force for the Mets all season, now with a .281/.336/.482 batting line and 23 homers in 135 games.
Sep 25 - 4:59 PM

Joe Musgrove was excellent on Sunday afternoon in Houston, allowing just one run over seven innings in the Astros' 4-1 victory over the Angels.

The one run he gave up came on an RBI single up the middle by Rafael Ortega in the top of the fourth inning. Musgrove struck out four, didn't walk a batter, and scattered seven hits. The rookie right-hander now holds a 4.06 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, and 55/16 K/BB ratio over 62 innings this year. He'll finish the regular season with a road start against this same Angels squad.
Sep 25 - 4:48 PM

Nelson Cruz was forced to leave Sunday's game against the Twins due to soreness in his left wrist.

The issue is believed to be minor. Cruz inflicted massive damage on the Twins before departing, smashing a pair of solo home runs in his first three at-bats. The Mariners should provide an update on his status after Sunday's game, but expect him to be listed as day-to-day.
Sep 25 - 4:47 PM

Jose Bautista reached base four times and homered for the third time in four games in Sunday's win over the Yankees.

Bautista got the scoring going with a solo shot off of Michael Pineda in the fourth inning. He wound up reaching base in all four of his trips to the plate and has really heated things up of late with three multi-hit contests and a trio of home runs over his last five games.
Sep 25 - 4:39 PM

Carlos Rodon put together the best outing of his career Sunday, recording 11 strikeouts over eight shutout innings in a 3-0 win over the Indians.

He walked three batters but surrendered only two singles on the day. Rodon has certainly flashed brilliance at times in his two big league seasons, but rarely has he put everything together as he did in this one. He had thrown 108 pitches through his eight frames, which is the only reason he didn't get a shot at his first shutout. Rodon will get the Twins on Friday to close out his regular season.
