Mariners acquired INF Robert Andino from the Orioles for OF Trayvon Robinson.

Andino batted .211/.283/.305 with seven home runs, 28 RBI and a .588 OPS in 431 plate appearances with the Orioles this season while earning $1.3 million. He's arbitration-eligible for the second time this winter. The Mariners will likely use him as a backup at second base and shortstop.

Pirates signed LHP Cory Luebke to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training.

Luebke worked his way back from his second Tommy John surgery to throw seven minor league innings this past season. The 30-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since 2012. Before the injuries he was a very successful starter and reliever, and with a little Bucs magic, maybe we haven't seen the last of Luebke yet.

Pirates signed LHP Eric O'Flaherty to a minor league contract with an invite to spring training.

O'Flaherty wasn't right in 2015, posting a 8.10 ERA and 21/18 K/BB ratio over 30 innings while dealing with left shoulder issues, but he's been an effective lefty reliever in the past. The Pirates have a track record of getting pitchers straightened out, so it's a near-ideal landing spot for the 31-year-old.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports confirms the White Sox are one of the teams considering free agent shortstop Ian Desmond.

It's not the first time we've heard the White Sox linked to Desmond. The Rays are also in the running, though so far both teams have been hesitant to give up a draft pick. Desmond is coming off a tough season with Washington. He led the National League in errors and finished second in the NL with 187 strikeouts. He may have to settle for a one-year deal and test the market again next winter.

The Dodgers are looking to trade IF/OF Alex Guerrero, according to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal.

The Dodgers' outfield is full and the team has a cheaper utility option in Enrique Hernandez. Rosenthal suggests Guerrero's best fit is in the American League. The 29-year-old hit just .233 with 11 homers last season. He carries a $5 million base salary for 2016.

While the Orioles have yet to strike a deal with free agent right-hander Yovani Gallardo, "both sides appear to be pretty optimistic," according to MLB.com's Brittany Ghiroli.

Ghiroli said the two sides met Wednesday and now "the ball is in the Orioles' court." The Orioles had previously been hesitant to give up their first-round pick for Gallardo but now they seem open to it. Clearly Baltimore is in "win-now" mode. Dexter Fowler or Pedro Alvarez could be the next domino to fall for the O's once Gallardo gets squared away.

Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports Cuban outfielder Lazaro Armenteros is expected to sign either Thursday or Friday.

Armenteros recently spent four days at the Padres' facility, which could make them the favorite. The 16-year-old has also drawn interest from the Braves, Cubs, Dodgers and Phillies. There was speculation Armenteros would hold out until the next international signing period on July 2, but apparently he's ready to choose a team right now. He should be looking at a bonus in the $15-20 million range.

Jacob deGrom said he'd be open to signing a long-term contract with the Mets.

"I’m a little bit older so I might be more willing to do something like that,’’ said deGrom. "You just have to look at what is fair so both sides get a decent deal." DeGrom was the best starter on a team that advanced to the World Series last year but his contract doesn't expire until 2020. If the Mets do decide to lock up deGrom long-term, Madison Bumgarner's six-year, $35.56 million extension with San Francisco could be used as a blueprint.

Angels signed RHP Javy Guerra to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Guerra had himself a rough season in 2015. Not only was he outrighted from the 40-man roster of the White Sox in May, he was then hit with a 50-game suspension in early July after failing a drug test. Back in 2014 -- prior to all that messiness -- the 30-year-old right-hander held a 2.91 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 38/20 K/BB ratio in 46 1/3 innings with Chicago. It's a no-risk bullpen flier for the Angels, but there's not any real fantasy upside here.

Braves signed RHP Carlos Torres to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Torres was designated for assignment by the Mets in a surprise late-January move and subsequently elected to become a free agent. There was interest from the Asian market, but the 33-year-old right-hander opted for a Braves team that should allow him a semi-clear path to an Opening Day bullpen gig. Torres was excellent with the Mets in 2014 before struggling in 2015. He's a decent bet for a bounceback in 2016.

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that the potential contract being discussed between the Orioles and free agent right-hander Yovani Gallardo would be worth three years, $40-45 million.

Nothing's official yet, but there's a ton of smoke here. Multiple outlets have reported that Gallardo and the O's are closing in on a contract. The club will have to surrender the 14th overall selection in this summer's amateur draft should they sign the soon-to-be 30-year-old right-hander, but he provides an upgrade for a rotation that has needed a boost. Last season, Gallardo pitched to a 3.42 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, and 121/68 K/BB ratio across 184 1/3 innings (33 starts) for the Rangers. Should the Orioles ink Gallardo to a contract, they could next pursue outfielder Dexter Fowler. Pedro Alvarez and Jay Bruce are outside options as well.

MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez hears that Cuban outfielder Lazaro Armenteros continues to weigh his destination options.

Sanchez previously reported that Armenteros would make his team decision on Wednesday. That could still happen, though the hour is drawing late. Among the teams considered potential landing spots for "Lazarito" are the Braves, Cubs, Dodgers, Padres, and Phillies. Should he be unable to reach a decision at this early juncture, it's possible he just waits until July 2, when the next international signing period begins. Armenteros is said to be looking for a bonus in the $15-20 million range.
