Buster Olney of ESPN.com reports that the Dodgers have evaluated Scott Rolen as a possible target.

Rolen still isn't sure if he'll play in 2013 or retire, but if he does decide to come back, there apparently will at least be a little bit of a market for him. The Reds have also expressed interested in bringing him back, but Rolen would have a better shot at playing time in L.A. The Dodgers are currently slated to go with Luis Cruz at third base in 2013.

Jon Heyman of CBS Sports reports that the Orioles have agreed to a minor league contract with LHP Ariel Miranda.

The deal with the 25-year-old Cuban left-hander is contingent on him passing a physical. Miranda last pitched in Cuba's Serie Nacional in 2013, posting a 3.24 ERA, 9.3 K/9 and 3.2 BB/9 in 13 starts.

Athletics placed OF Coco Crisp on the 15-day disabled list with compressed discs in his neck.

There are no immediate plans for the off-injured outfielder to undergo surgery, but also no clear timetable for his return. At this stage, fantasy owners may be wise to cut bait and free up a roster spot.

Kendrys Morales went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBI in a win over the Cardinals on Friday.

Providing the only offense of the game for either team, Morales connected for a three-run homer in the first inning and added a two-run shot in the third. It was the 13th multi-homer game of his career. After a miserable 2014 season, the 31-year-old is batting .305 with six home runs and an .864 OPS through 41 games. He leads the AL with 37 RBI.

Dee Gordon stole four bases Friday against the Orioles.

It tied his career-high and tied the Marlins record, which was set by Luis Castillo back in 2000. Gordon finished the night 2-for-5 with a run scored and is batting .386 with 16 steals through 40 games.

Albert Pujols (hand) went 2-for-6 with a solo home run and two runs scored in his return to the lineup Friday against the Red Sox.

Pujols sat out Thursday after being hit in the left hand by a pitch on Wednesday, but he thinks he can play through it. The 35-year-old is batting .235/.290/.436 with eight home runs and 16 RBI through 39 games this season.

Marlins placed RHP Mat Latos on the 15-day disabled list with left knee inflammation.

The 27-year-old has been a major disappointment for the Fish this season, registering a 6.12 ERA, 1.59 WHIP and 36/16 K/BB ratio over 42 2/3 innings. Henderson Alvarez was also placed on the DL on Friday, so the Marlins will be forced to find two starters to join their rotation in the coming days.
May 22 - 11:57 PM

Ryan Braun homered and drove home four runs on Friday, leading the Brewers in an 11-0 rout over the Braves in Atlanta.

Braun got the Brewers started with a bang, blasting a two-run homer off Eric Stults in the first inning. He finished the night 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and also drew a walk, reaching safely in all four of his plate appearances. After a slow start to the season, he has come on strong in recent weeks and is now slashing .273/.346/.538 with 11 homers and 33 RBI.

Prince Fielder blasted a pair of home runs and drove home four runs on Friday as the Rangers outlasted the Yankees 10-9 in a wild game in New York.

The Rangers broke the game open by scoring seven runs in the third inning, with Fielder's three-run blast off starter Michael Pineda serving as the big blow. He tacked on a solo shot off Chasen Shreve in the seventh inning which would end up looming large. He's having a terrific season in the middle of the Rangers lineup, batting .341/.397/.521 with seven homers and 27 RBI.

Felix Hernandez notched his MLB-leading seventh victory after tossing of one-run ball in a 4-3 win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

The only run scored on a solo homer from Edwin Encarnacion in the first inning. Otherwise, he was dominant, allowing just four hits in all against two walks and eight strikeouts. King Felix improved to 7-1 with the victory and now owns a 2.19 ERA and 63/14 K/BB ratio in 61 1/3 innings over nine starts. He's been exactly what fantasy owners were hoping for when they paid a high price in drafts this spring.
May 22 - 10:17 PM

J.D. Martinez crushed a three-run homer in the third inning on Friday, leading the Tigers offensive attack in a 6-2 win over the Astros.

Martinez clobbered what looked to be a game-changing three-run homer to left field on the previous pitch, which hooked just foul at the last second. He then took the next Collin McHugh offering deep to right-center field to put the Tigers on top 3-2. He finished the night 2-for-3 and is now slashing .266/.337/.487 with nine homers and 21 RBI on the season.
May 22 - 10:17 PM

Nelson Cruz went 2-for-4 with his major league-leading 17th home run in a win over the Blue Jays on Friday.

It was a solo shot off Marco Estrada in the sixth inning. Cruz has multi-hit games in three out of the last four and currently leads the AL with a .354 batting average. Kendrys Morales pulled ahead in RBI with a big night Friday against the Cardinals, but Cruz isn't too far off the pace there either. He has 34 RBI for the year.
