Lucas Duda (wrist) faced live pitching on Monday at the Mets' spring training complex in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Duda is progressing nicely from wrist surgery and should be back near 100 percent health by Opening Day. The 26-year-old batted .239/.329/.389 with 15 home runs in 121 games last season for New York. He should be worth owning this year in deeper mixed leagues.

Andrew McCutchen homered twice to lead the Pirates past the Reds 6-5 on Saturday night.

McCutchen smacked a game-tying solo homer in the top of the ninth inning and then a go-ahead solo shot in the top of the 10th. The reigning National League MVP also doubled in the game. He's batting .325/.422/.573 with 17 homers, 61 RBI, and 15 steals this year for the Bucs.

Ryan Zimmerman hit a go-ahead RBI single in the top of the 10th Saturday in a 5-3 win over the Phillies.

It was the only hit of the game for Zimmerman, but it was obviously a big one. He's batting .272/.342/.428 with 28 RBI in 47 games this season for the Nationals, who are tied with the Braves atop the National League East.
Jul 12 - 11:25 PM

Joe Smith tallied his 14th save of the season Saturday in the Angels' 5-2 defeat of the Rangers.

Smith struck out two of the three batters he faced in a perfect ninth inning. He's been fantastic since stepping in permanently as the Angels' closer, now boasting a 2.38 ERA and 0.91 WHIP in 41 2/3 total innings this season. The right-hander should remain a strong fantasy piece in the second half as the Angels continue to click.
Jul 12 - 10:45 PM

Rick Porcello fired seven innings of one-run ball Saturday in the Tigers' 5-1 defeat of the Royals.

It was a terrific bounceback pefromance from Porcello, who was shelled for seven runs on 11 hits last Sunday by the Rays. Porcello scattered six hits Saturday in Kansas City and struck out three. He'll wrap up the first half with a 12-5 record, 3.39 ERA, and 1.18 WHIP. The right-hander is tied for the American League lead in wins.
Jul 12 - 10:26 PM

Fernando Rodney has been added to the American League All-Star roster.

Rodney is replacing Rays ace David Price, who opted out because he will be starting Sunday versus the Blue Jays. Rodney leads the American League with 27 saves and holds a 1.98 ERA on the season.
Jul 12 - 8:44 PM

Kevin Kiermaier went 3-for-4 with three RBI as the Rays routed the Blue Jays 10-3 on Saturday.

Kiermaier hit a two-run single in the bottom of the sixth inning and added a one-run single in the seventh. He also doubled, and is now batting .310 with a .926 OPS in 47 games this season. It's been a surprising few months from the 24-year-old outfielder, who never really had standout minor league numbers. There could be some serious regression in the second half.
Jul 12 - 7:50 PM

Adam Wainwright limited the Brewers to two runs over seven innings Saturday in a 10-2 Cardinals victory.

Wainwright was staked to a massive early lead and went into cruise control, walking none and fanning four. He'll finish the second half of the 2014 regular season with a fantastic 12-4 record, 1.83 ERA, and 0.91 WHIP. The Cardinals are now tied for first place in the National League Central with the Brewers, who have dropped seven straight games.
Jul 12 - 7:34 PM

Chris Johnson homered twice Saturday as the Braves won an 11-6 shootout against the Cubs.

Both starting pitchers were terrible on a day that the flood gates opened early and often at Wrigley Field. Johnson hit a two-run shot off Edwin Jackson in the top of the second inning and then took E-Jax deep again in the top of the fourth. He finished the afternoon with four RBI.
Jul 12 - 7:24 PM

Shane Greene delivered 7 1/3 scoreless innings Saturday in the Yankees' 3-0 blanking of the Orioles.

Greene struck out nine and surrendered only four hits in the dominant outing. He looks to be locked into a rotation spot with the Yankees, but his numbers at Triple-A were never very good and the 25-year-old right-hander is probably due for some regression in the second half.
Jul 12 - 7:13 PM

Addison Reed picked up his 21st save of the season Saturday in the Diamondbacks' 2-0 win over the Giants.

Reed retired all three batters he faced in the bottom of the ninth inning. It was a needed clean outing for the 25-year-old right-hander, who has blown five saves and owns a rough 4.30 ERA in 37 2/3 innings this season.
Jul 12 - 7:01 PM

James Paxton (shoulder) is expected to begin a rehab assignment Thursday at Low-A Everett.

Paxton has been out since early April with a shoulder problem and will likely be asked to make several minor league rehab starts. The 25-year-old left-hander had an outstanding 2.25 ERA, 0.67 WHIP, and 13/2 K/BB ratio over his first 12 innings (two starts) this season and should be a valuable fantasy starter down the stretch.
