CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that the Indians are "not looking to move" Drew Stubbs or Michael Brantley.

There was some speculation that Stubbs or Brantley could be on the block after the Indians agreed to terms with Michael Bourn on Monday night, but it appears there will be room for all of them. As of now, the plan is to use Bourn, Brantley and Stubbs in the outfield while Nick Swisher will mostly play first base and Mark Reynolds will get the majority of his at-bats from the DH spot.

Giants transferred SS Brandon Crawford from the three-day bereavement list to the 10-day disabled list.

He was on the bereavement list due to a death in the family but was also suffering from a strained groin that will keep him sidelined for at least another week. His DL stint was backdated to April 26th.

Brett Gardner hit two home runs and plated four RBI as the Yankees thrashed the Orioles 12-4 on Saturday.

He got things started in a hurry, leading off the Yankees' half of the first inning with a solo blast off Ubaldo Jimenez. He got another chance in the second inning and took Jimenez deep again, this time with two runners aboard. Prior to today Gardner had not homered nor driven in a run this season. Maybe this game will jumpstart his engine. He is batting just .206/.325/.338 with two homers, 12 runs scored, four RBI and five stolen bases in 80 plate appearances.

Jose Abreu crushed his first two homers of the 2017 season on Saturday, leading the White Sox to a 6-4 victory over the Tigers.

Abreu, who missed Friday's game with a right hip flexor/groin issue, tagged Tigers' starter Michael Fulmer for a solo shot in the third inning. He added a second solo homer off of Blaine Hardy in the eighth for what proved to be a valuable insurance run. He finished the afternoon 2-for-3 and is now hitting .269/.337/.410 with 10 RBI on the season.
Apr 29 - 4:50 PM

Michael Conforto blasted a pair of home runs on Saturday, powering the Mets to a 5-3 victory over the Nationals in Washington.

Conforto tagged Nats' starter Stephen Strasburg for a two-run homer in the fifth inning that increased their lead to 3-1. He wasn't finished though, clubbing a solo shot off of Enny Romero in the eighth to add insurance. Conforto also singled and stole a base in the game, finishing the afternoon 3-for-4 with a pair of runs scored and three RBI. He has been the best and most consistent hitter in the lineup through the first month of the season.
Apr 29 - 4:35 PM

Ryan Zimmerman crushed his 11th home run of the season as the Nationals fell to the Mets on Saturday afternoon.

The 32-year-old continues his improbable resurgence, crushing everything that he sees. He also had a pair of RBI singles in this game, finishing the day 3-for-4 while driving in all three of his team's runs. He's now hitting a blistering .410/.456/.892 with 11 homers and 27 RBI on the season.
Apr 29 - 4:29 PM

Steven Souza was forced to leave Saturday's game against the Blue Jays after being hit on the top of the left hand by a pitch from Joe Biagini.

Souza broke his hand in a similar fashion in 2016 which caused him to miss considerable time. He'll head for X-rays to determine if there are any breaks this time around. Look for an update from the Rays on his status later this afternoon. Souza has been on fire at the plate thus far, slashing .330/.411/.543 with four homers and 17 RBI.

Saturday's game between the Twins and Royals in Kansas City was postponed due to rain.

The game will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on July 1. Expect that Saturday's scheduled starters, Jason Hammel and Phil Hughes, will be pushed back to start on Sunday.
Apr 29 - 2:45 PM

Saturday afternoon's contest between the Cardinals and Reds has been postponed due to inclement weather.

No makeup date has been announced. It's currently hailing in St. Louis and harsh weather was expected throughout the afternoon, so they made a wise choice cancelling this one early. Look for Saturday's scheduled starters, Mike Leake and Bronson Arroyo, to be pushed back until Sunday.

Nationals placed OF Adam Eaton on the 10-day disabled list with a left knee strain.

The Nationals have yet to reveal the severity of the injury or the results of Saturday's MRI exam, but it looks like Eaton could be sidelined for awhile. Rafael Bautista has been summoned from Triple-A Syracuse in a corresponding move.

Charlie Morton gave up four runs over seven innings and struck out a career-high 12 batters in Friday’s 9-4 victory over the Athletics.

Khris Davis proved to be his nemesis on Friday, slugging a three-run homer in the first inning and a solo shot in the third, but otherwise Morton managed to keep the A’s in check. While the veteran right-hander hit a couple of batters, he only gave up five hits and didn’t walk anyone. This was his longest outing since August 2, 2015. Morton’s velocity uptick made him an interesting name to follow coming out of spring training, but he hasn’t done much to grab the attention of fantasy owners until now. He’ll try to build off this one when he brings a 4.50 ERA into a start against the Rangers next week.
Apr 29 - 1:27 AM

Freddie Freeman powered the Braves to a 10-8 victory over the Brewers on Friday with a two-run homer off Neftali Feliz in the top of the ninth.

The Braves were down 8-4 after six innings before staging a comeback against the Brewers’ bullpen. Freeman was 0-for-4 before his go-ahead blast in the ninth. The 27-year-old already has eight home runs this season, though he has just 12 RBI to show for it. He’s batting .368/.478/.776 with just as many walks (16) as strikeouts (16) so far.
