Monday night's game between the Twins and Marlins has been postponed due to a Minnesota snowstorm.

Kevin Correia was scheduled to start for the Twins and Ricky Nolasco was supposed to be on the bump for the Marlins. The two teams are going to try to fit in a day-night doubleheader on Tuesday at Target Field, but the forecast currently calls for more wintry weather.

Matt Shoemaker (forearm) will head back to Los Angeles to be reevaluated.

Shoemaker was hoping to return to the rotation Sunday against Boston, but obviously that's not happening. He must have overdone it by playing catch on Wednesday. Parker Bridwell will continue to start in his place.

George Springer has been diagnosed with a left hand contusion.

His X-rays came back negative. Springer left Thursday's game after being struck by a 92 mph sinker from A's starter Jesse Hahn. The Astros are calling him day-to-day. Springer suffered a similar injury two years ago when he was hit by then-Royals starter Edinson Volquez. Jake Marisnick replaced Springer in center field on Thursday and should start there during his absence.

Eduardo Nunez (hamstring) remained out of the Giants' lineup Thursday against the Braves.

It will be his sixth absence in the last seven games. Kelby Tomlinson will fill in at third base and bat leadoff Thursday against Braves lefty Jaime Garcia. Nunez is expected to test out his hamstring on Friday. If he's still not right, the Giants will likely place him on the disabled list.

George Springer left Thursday's game against the A's after taking a pitch off his left hand.

A's starter Jesse Hahn struck Springer with the fifth pitch of the afternoon. The star center fielder looked to be in a good amount of pain as he walked off the field. There should be an update soon from Oakland.

Angels activated RHP Huston Street from the 10-day disabled list.

Street is finally ready to rejoin the Angels after missing the first 11 weeks of the 2017 regular season with lat and shoulder injuries. He worked 1 1/3 scoreless innings Monday in his final rehab appearance with Triple-A Salt Lake. The veteran reliever could quickly work his way back into high-leverage action in Anaheim if he appears up for the task.
Jun 22 - 3:30 PM

Indians placed RHP Cody Allen on the paternity leave list.

Allen was excused from the club on Wednesday as his wife went into labor. Andrew Miller will continue to fill in as the Indians' ninth-inning man.

Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports has heard from rival executives that Marlins shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria "will be traded in [the] next few days."

Passan says Miami is "still shopping offers" for the 28-year-old, who is currently on the disabled list with a strained left oblique but due to return to the Marlins' active roster this weekend. Hechavarria has batted just .255/.291/.337 in 640 career major league games, but he's a good defender and under contractual control through 2018. J.T. Riddle has been starting at shortstop for the Fish. Clark Spencer of the Miami Herald notes that the Cardinals, Orioles and Rays have all checked in on Hechavarria.
Jun 22 - 3:13 PM

Adam Jones is out of the Orioles' starting lineup on Thursday night against the Indians.

It could just be a night off. Craig Gentry is playing center field and hitting ninth versus Cleveland right-hander Mike Clevinger.
Jun 22 - 3:02 PM

Jose Altuve is getting the day off Thursday afternoon against the Athletics.

Marwin Gonzalez is starting at second base and batting sixth versus Oakland right-hander Jesse Hahn. It's just a routine breather for Altuve.
Jun 22 - 1:19 PM

Josh Donaldson has been scratched from the Blue Jays' lineup Thursday with a sore left knee.

Kendrys Morales will now start at DH against the Rangers after being left out of the lineup initially. The severity of Donaldson's knee injury is unclear.
Jun 22 - 1:13 PM

David Peralta is not in the Diamondbacks' lineup Thursday afternoon against the Rockies.

Jeremy Hazelbaker will start in right field and bat leadoff versus Colorado right-hander Antonio Senzatela. It's just a quick breather for Peralta, who tallied four hits in Wednesday night's blowout victory. Brandon Drury is also on the bench Thursday for the Diamondbacks.
