Astros activated OF J.D. Martinez from the 15-day disabled list.

Out since April 20 with a sprained knee, Martinez homered in his final rehab game Sunday to convince the Astros he was ready. He'll receive regular playing time in left field.

Dustin Pedroia is headed back to Boston to undergo an MRI on his injured left wrist.

Pedroia sprained his wrist on a collision at first base Monday and it was still swollen and tender after the game. The Red Sox are holding off on making a roster move for now until they get MRI results back, but a stint on the disabled list looks like a distinct possibility.

Rangers manager Jeff Banister said that "all indications are" that Adrian Beltre (calf) will be in the lineup Monday.

It sounds like the Rangers probably want Beltre to get through a pre-game workout with no issues before they officially activate him from the disabled list. It will be the season debut for the veteran third baseman, as Beltre has been out for nearly two months with a strained right calf.
May 29 - 5:45 PM

Gregory Polanco was carted off the field with an apparent right ankle injury in Monday's game versus the Diamondbacks.

Polanco banged up against the side wall in right field. Obviously, the fact that he required a cart to exit the field is not a promising sign. The Pirates should have more on the outfielder's status after the game, but expect a disabled list stint.
May 29 - 5:41 PM

Cody Bellinger homered for the second game in a row in Monday's win over the Cardinals.

Bellinger was given the green light on a 3-0 offering from Mike Leake in the fourth inning and he blasted it well into the right field seats for a solo shot. The rookie has predictably tailed off a bit in the average department of late, but he's gone deep four times over his last 10 contests.
May 29 - 5:21 PM

Francisco Liriano (shoulder) will rejoin the Blue Jays' rotation this weekend.

The exact day hasn't been determined yet, but Liriano felt good during a rehab start Sunday at Triple-A Buffalo. The left-hander has been on the shelf for nearly three weeks with inflammation in his pitching shoulder. He was really struggling before going down, so fantasy owners would be wise to take a wait-and-see approach.
May 29 - 4:44 PM

J.A. Happ (elbow) will start on Tuesday against the Reds.

Happ allowed three runs on seven hits over just three innings in his lone rehab start, but he feels good and made it through a bullpen session Sunday with no issues. His pitch count figures to be relatively limited Tuesday, so fantasy owners might want to bench him for what will be his first start in the majors in six weeks.
May 29 - 4:42 PM

Byron Buxton was pulled from Monday's game against the Astros with a lacerated ring finger on his right hand.

Buxton suffered the injury on a dive in the outfield when his finger caught Eddie Rosario's spikes. It's likely a day-to-day situation, but the Twins could have more on his status after the game.
May 29 - 4:38 PM

Dylan Bundy yielded two runs over seven innings in a 3-2 win over the Yankees on Monday.

Bundy gave up seven hits — including a solo homer to Aaron Judge — while walking just one and striking out three. The 24-year-old has now gone at least six innings in all 11 of his starts this season and owns a 2.89 ERA and 49/20 K/BB ratio over 71 2/3 innings. The secondary numbers still indicate that regression is coming, but he’s been one of the more pleasant surprises during the first half.
May 29 - 4:22 PM

Aaron Judge slugged his MLB-leading 17th homer in Monday’s loss to the Orioles.

It was a solo shot off Dylan Bundy in the seventh inning. Orioles fans have probably had just about enough of Judge, as he now has five homers in seven games against the club this season. Judge is batting .321/.421/.691 through 46 games.
May 29 - 4:20 PM

Danny Duffy is expected to miss 6-8 weeks with a Grade 1-plus strain of his oblique.

Brutal news for the Royals. Duffy was knocked around for six runs over just four innings in Sunday's loss to the Indians and now figures to be sidelined through mid-to-late July. The Royals appear to be obvious sellers and could look a lot different by the time he returns.
May 29 - 4:02 PM

Phillies activated INF/OF Howie Kendrick from the 10-day disabled list.

Kendrick ended up missing six weeks with an oblique strain. He'll start in left field and bat second in his return Monday, but will function in a roving utility role moving forward.
