According to Joe Frisaro of MLB.com, the Dodgers and Giants have made the Marlins trade offers to acquire Ricky Nolasco.

The Dodgers are reportedly offering a pitching prospect, and are willing to take on the entire $5.7 million remaining on Nolasco's salary. The Giants are said to be offering a pair of pitching prospects, but aren't as willing to eat Nolasco's salary. With two offers already in hand, and other teams rumored to be interested in acquiring Nolasco, the Marlins should wind up with a nice package in return for the right-hander.

Manny Machado homered twice in a 7-3 loss to the Indians on Sunday.

Both homer came off of Corey Kluber, and Machado now has eight on the season. The Orioles aren't very good, but Machado is. He now has a .356/.434/.713 line to begin his 2018 campaign. We wonder when we'll start hearing the trade rumors for the 25-year-old shortstop, as it's pretty clear that Baltimore isn't going to contend in Machado's last year under contract.

Jose Ramirez blasted two homers on Sunday in a 7-3 victory over the Orioles.

Ramirez also drew a walk. The homers give him six on the season, and they also give him three in his last two games. The hits haven't dropped in for the 2017 MVP candidate yet as seen in his .236 average, but his .353 on-base percentage and .528 slugging percentage are much more indicative of the talent in Ramirez's switch-hitting bat. There's no reason to think he won't be among the better fantasy hitters in the American League again in 2018 when all is said and done.

Kris Bryant passed initial concussion tests after having to leave Sunday's game against the Rockies when he was hit in the head by a pitch.

Bryant isn't out of the woods yet, but this is certainly very good news. He was hit by a German Marquez offering Sunday but it looks like he might have escaped with just a laceration above his eye. The Cubs will continue to monitor their star third baseman.
Apr 22 - 4:02 PM

Luis Severino allowed just three hits and one run over seven innings in a 5-1 victory over the Blue Jays on Sunday.

The only blemish for Severino was a solo shot by Teoscar Hernandez. Outside of that, the right-hander was sensational, as he has been for a large portion of the last year-plus. The 24-year-old's ERA is down to 2.32, and he's struck out 34 in 31 innings. He's back on the mound on Friday against the Angels in Los Angeles.
Apr 22 - 4:00 PM

Jose Bautista could be added to the Braves' roster sometime during their April 23-May 3 road trip.

Bautista reached base twice in his first game at High-A Florida and will play for them again Sunday before moving up to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday. The 37-year-old signed a minor league contract with the Braves last week is getting reacquainted with third base. For what it's worth, manager Brian Snitker said the early reports of Bautista's work at the hot corner have been good. Bautista has hit only .216/.333/.402 over the last two seasons, but he's still worth a stash in deep leagues.
Apr 22 - 2:53 PM

Sunday's game between the Mets and Braves has been postponed due to inclement weather.

It will be made up as part of a split doubleheader on May 28. Scheduled starters Zack Wheeler and Mike Foltynewicz will be pushed back.
Apr 22 - 2:27 PM

The Dodgers will recall Walker Buehler to start Monday versus the Marlins.

The Dodgers needed a fill-in for Rich Hill (finger). The feeling is that Hill should be ready to go later this week, so it will probably only be a spot start for Buehler in all likelihood. Still, he's a worthy streamer in a nice matchup. The top prospect has posted a 2.08 ERA and 16/4 K/BB ratio over 13 innings this season for Triple-A Oklahoma City. Buehler will be making his first major league start after he was up for eight relief appearances last year.
Apr 22 - 2:17 PM

Buster Posey (back) is back in the Giants' lineup Sunday.

Posey was a late scratch Saturday due to back tightness, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go in this one. He's catching and batting cleanup versus Jaime Barria and the Angels.
Apr 22 - 1:44 PM

Albert Pujols is not in the Angels' lineup Sunday.

It's his first day off of the season. The Halos have moved Shohei Ohtani up to the cleanup spot with Pujols getting a breather.
Apr 22 - 1:28 PM

Rockies recalled OF David Dahl from Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Rockies are in need of outfield help with Carlos Gonzalez (hamstring) landing on the disabled list and Gerardo Parra serving a suspension. Illness has limited Dahl to just six games at Albuquerque this season and he's batted just .231/.231/.308 in those contests, but the 24-year-old remains a dynamic talent and should have a shot at regular playing time for a while. He should be scooped up in fantasy leagues.
Apr 22 - 12:34 PM

Rockies placed OF Carlos Gonzalez on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to April 19, with a right hamstring strain.

The Rockies held off placing CarGo on the DL after he tweaked his hamstring last Wednesday, but he didn't recover as quickly as hoped. With Gerardo Parra serving a suspension, David Dahl, Ryan McMahon, and Noel Cuevas will be in line for playing time over the next few days.
