Greg Holland earned his 28th save of the season Wednesday in the Royals' 4-3 defeat of the Twins.

Kansas City has won eight straight games and is suddenly two games above .500 at 53-51. Holland has been a reliable source through it all, boasting a 1.76 overall ERA and 65/12 K/BB ratio in 41 innings this year. He should remain an excellent fantasy option down the stretch.

Avisail Garcia (knee) is back in the White Sox starting lineup Saturday versus the Astros.

Garcia missed several games with discomfort in his right knee. The rest should do him some good in the long term. He's batting .327/.365/.456 with four home runs and 18 RBI in 39 games this season for the Pale Hose.
May 30 - 12:54 PM

Jose Abreu (finger) is not in the White Sox starting lineup Saturday against the Astros.

Abreu left Friday's game with irritation in his right index finger. It's something that has been lingering for a couple of weeks, but he could return Sunday.
May 30 - 12:51 PM

Adeiny Hechavarria (shoulder) is not in the Marlins' starting lineup Saturday against the Mets.

Hechavarria suffered a left shoulder contusion Friday in a collision with teammate Christian Yelich. Miami is calling him day-to-day for now. Donovan Solano will start at shortstop and bat eighth on Saturday afternoon.
May 30 - 12:47 PM

Adam Jones is not in the Orioles' lineup Saturday.

It's just a day of maintenance for Jones, who rolled his ankle a couple days ago. David Lough will start in center field in his place Saturday against the Rays.
May 30 - 12:40 PM

Jorge De La Rosa was scratched from his scheduled start against the Phillies on Saturday.

The veteran left-hander is still dealing with a cut on the middle finger of his pitching hand. Once again, Eddie Butler will fill in for him on Saturday and doesn't make for an attractive streaming option, even against the offensively-challenged Phillies.
May 30 - 11:02 AM

John Lackey fired seven scoreless innings in a 3-0 win over the Dodgers on Friday.

Lackey was nothing short of excellent, allowing just five hits (all of them singles) and one walk while striking out nine batters. The veteran right-hander has allowed three earned runs or fewer in seven straight starts and now has a 2.83 ERA on the year. Not bad for a guy who is making the major league minimum salary. He'll try to keep it going against the Brewers at home next week.
May 29 - 11:44 PM

Mark Buehrle registered the 31st complete game of his career in Friday's victory over the Twins.

It certainly didn't appear as if it was going to be a lengthy outing for Buehrle, who surrendered four runs to the Twins in the first inning. He settled in masterfully afterwards though, allowing just one hit the remainder of the night. He racked up three strikeouts on the night without issuing a walk, needing just 111 pitches to navigate through nine innings. He'll look to carry over this strong effort when he takes on the Nationals in Washington on Wednesday.
May 29 - 11:33 PM

Josh Hamilton hit his first two home runs of the season in Friday's 7-4 win over the Red Sox.

Hamilton launched a solo homer in the bottom of the second inning before hitting another solo blast in the fourth. It was his ninth career multi-homer game. The 34-year-old is coming off shoulder surgery and remains an injury risk, but his return to Texas puts him in a great position to be valuable in mixed fantasy leagues again.
May 29 - 11:17 PM

Chris Davis belted his 12th home run of the season as the Orioles topped the Rays 2-1 on Friday.

His solo shot off Kevin Jepsen tied the game at 1-1 in the seventh inning and provided the O's the opportunity to come back and win later on. He finished the night 2-for-3 and also drew a walk, raising his season slash to .228/.312/.506 to go along with 12 homers and 30 RBI.
May 29 - 10:30 PM

Todd Frazier went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Friday against the Nationals.

Frazier now has 15 home runs on the season, which puts him three behind Washington's Bryce Harper for the National League lead. He's already more than halfway to the 29 home runs he hit all of last season. Frazier has hit safely in eight of his last nine games, giving him a .266/.357/.584 batting line on the year.
May 29 - 10:25 PM

Troy Tulowitzki clobbered a pair of solo home runs off Cole Hamels on Friday, powering the Rockies to a 4-1 victory over the Phillies.

Tulo got the Rockies on the board with his solo blast in the first inning and repeated the feat in the third inning. He also collected a pair of singles, finishing the night 4-for-4 with two runs scored and a pair of RBI. The oft-injured shortstop is now hitting .285/.303/.456 with four long balls and 20 RBI on the season.
