Orioles recalled RHP Josh Stinson from Triple-A Norfolk.

Stinson, 25, will provide bullpen depth. He's appeared in just one game with the Orioles this season and is replacing Henry Urrutia on the active roster.

Yasmani Grandal delivered a two-run double in the sixth inning on Sunday, helping to lead the Dodgers to a 4-3 victory over the Nationals.

Grandal got the Dodgers on the board with a two-run double off of Jeremy Hellickson in the sixth inning, sparking a three-run rally that would eventually springboard the Dodgers to victory. He also drew a walk in the contest, finishing the night 1-for-3. The hard-hitting backstop has been the Dodgers' biggest weapon on offense this season, slashing .349/.446/.587 with three homers and 16 RBI.

Michael Taylor had a monster day at the dish in Sunday's loss to the Dodgers, going 3-for-3 with a double and his first home run of the season.

Taylor also walked, scored a pair of runs and swiped a pair of bases. His solo shot in the fourth inning increased the Nationals' lead to 2-0. He'll never be expected to hit for a high average, but his combination of power and speed is certainly valuable in most mixed leagues. He's now hitting .224/.280/.329 with a homer, five RBI and eight stolen bases on the year.
Apr 22 - 11:29 PM

Brandon Belt homered in his fourth straight game Sunday, finishing 3-for-5 with two runs scored as the Giants bested the Angels 4-2.

The home run and the four-game streak are impressive -- he caught up to a high and tight fastball from Blake Parker in the fifth inning, yanking it over the right field wall -- but he set an MLB record with his first at-bat of the afternoon, a 21-pitch saga that ended with a lineout. It was one of the few times Angels hitters were able to get him out Sunday, and with the good game he's now hitting .288/.386/.576 through 17 games.
Apr 22 - 9:35 PM

Johnny Cueto tossed six scoreless innings Sunday, striking out seven in a win over the Angels.

As he's been all year, Cueto was brilliant in this one, walking two while giving p just two singles in his six innings of work. In four starts overall, the right-hander has allowed just one run -- total -- across 26 innings. That works out to a 0.35 ERA, with a 0.65 WHIP and 23/4 K/BB ratio to boot. His blister issues seemingly behind him, Cueto will look to keep rolling Saturday when he faces the division-rival Dodgers.
Apr 22 - 9:21 PM

Patrick Corbin struck out 11 Padres over six innings, allowing two runs in 4-2 win Sunday.

Corbin has been the biggest revelation of the 2018 season, and the latest chapter was written Sunday. The southpaw baffled the Padres over his six innings, allowing just two hits and a walk, and a two-run homer by the red hot Christian Villanueva in the sixth inning was the only mark against him. He's now struck out 8-12-9-8-11 in his five starts, leading the National League -- you know, the league with Clayton Kershaw, Max Scherzer and Noah Syndergaard -- with 48 strikeouts. He leads the league in pretty much every other pitching category as well. Corbin will carry a 1.89 ERA and 0.66 WHIP into Saturday's matchup with the Nationals.
Apr 22 - 9:08 PM

Khris Davis went 2-for-4 with four RBI, including a go-ahead, three-run home run in the eighth inning, to lead the Athletics past the Red Sox 4-1 on Sunday.

With two on and two outs in a tie game in the eighth inning, Red Sox manager Alex Cora elected to leave Price in the game to face Davis. Davis made Cora regret the decision, smashing a three-run bomb into the left field seats to give the A's a lead they would hold. The bopper now has six homers and 19 RBI through 22 games, batting .270/.347/.539 overall.
Apr 22 - 8:08 PM

Javier Baez went 2-for-6 with a solo home run and two-run double to help the Cubs outlast the Rockies 9-7 on Sunday.

Baez hit a no-doubter to the deepest part of the park in the second inning, and he later tacked on a two-RBI double in the seventh to extend the Cubs' lead. The homer was his seventh of the year, and the second baseman leads the National League with 23 RBI. He's hitting .292/.363/.736 through 19 games, and after a breakout last season, this year could be the one in which Baez becomes a star.
Apr 22 - 7:41 PM

Adrian Beltre went 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles and three runs scored to lead the Rangers past the Mariners 7-4 on Sunday.

Beltre was in the middle of the action Sunday, scoring in the second, fourth and eighth innings to help the Rangers avoid a sweep. He's now got 10 runs on the year, and the two-hit game brought his line up to .300/.366/.425. The power hasn't come yet, but the 39-year-old remains a productive player regardless.
Apr 22 - 7:10 PM

Mitch Haniger went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a homer and three RBI in a loss to the Rangers on Sunday.

Haniger swatted an RBI double in the fifth inning before launching a two-run shot off reliever Matt Bush in the seventh. He's now homered in each of the last three games, and it was the second time in three days that he picked up three hits in a contest. He's tied for third in the American League with his seven homers, and his 22 RBI are second-most. The 27-year-old is slashing .314/.390/.671 through 20 games.
Apr 22 - 7:07 PM

Yadier Molina went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored as the Cardinals completed a three-game sweep of the Reds with Sunday's 9-2 win.

Molina had three of the Cardinals' 12 hits as they jumped on starter Luis Castillo and the Reds bullpen. The backstop has been hitting so well that manager Mike Matheny recently moved him to the No. 2 spot in the lineup, despite his subpar running ability. He's responded with a couple more good games, raising his line to .316/.333/.592 with six homers and 16 RBI in 20 games.
Apr 22 - 6:36 PM

Nationals placed INF Anthony Rendon on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to April 19, with a left toe injury.

Rendon fouled a pitch off of his foot more than a week ago, and the club tried to take it day-by-day with him, but he's still very sore. He'll be eligible to return at the end of next week.
