Jose Abreu went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and an RBI ground out in Tuesday's loss to the Blue Jays.

Abreu gave the White Sox a short-lived 5-3 lead with a three-run home run to left field off of R.A. Dickey. He added an RBI ground out in the middle of a three-run eighth inning as well. The White Sox entered Tuesday's game averaging only 3.5 runs per game, the worst in the American League. But it's not Abreu's fault as he has eight home runs, 27 RBI, and a .274/.339/.476 triple-slash line.

Josh Donaldson homered twice on Tuesday, one of which was a walk-off three-run blast in the ninth inning, leading the Blue Jays past the White Sox on Tuesday.

Donaldson, batting second, put the Jays on top early with a solo home run in the first inning. It was a see-saw game, but Donaldson put an end to it when he belted a three-run home run to the opposite field against closer David Robertson. Donaldson finished the night 4-for-4 with a walk and five RBI. On the season, he is hitting .315/.379/.582 with 12 home runs and 33 RBI.

Wilmer Flores knocked in the tying and game-winning runs as the Mets walked off winners in 10 innings versus the Phillies on Tuesday.

Flores, who went 1-for-4 on the night, tied the game at 4-4 with an eighth-inning sacrifice fly against Ken Giles. In the 10th inning, he came to the plate with runners on the corners and two out. He lifted an Elvis Araujo offering into left field to bring in the winning run. Flores has hit for decent power but otherwise has been lackluster, batting .252/.284/.429 with seven home runs and 21 RBI.

Matt Adams has been diagnosed with a strained right quad.

Adams pulled his quad while rounding first base on a double in the fifth inning of Tuesday's game. He was awfully gimpy while walking off, so a trip to the disabled list looks likely. Mark Reynolds would be in line to take over at first base.

Marlon Byrd scored the game-winning run and had both of the Reds' runs in their 2-1, walk-off victory over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Byrd singled and scored in the second inning before leading off the bottom of the ninth with a walk. He was sacrificed into scoring position and Skip Schumaker's RBI double plated Byrd as the winning run. Byrd's rate stats leave something to be desired, but he's still got 10 homers, 25 RBI and 20 runs scored on the year.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that trade a between the Dodgers and Braves involving Juan Uribe and Alberto Callaspo is "done," pending approval by the commissioner’s office.

It was reported earlier Tuesday that Callaspo rejected the trade, but now Rosenthal is saying he waived his right to reject any deal prior to June 15. Rosenthal says it would be a six-player trade, and he thinks Trevor Cahill and/or Eric Stults could be one of the players going to the Dodgers.

Justin Verlander (triceps) is expected to begin a rehab assignment on Sunday.

Verlander looked "very good" in a 70-pitch simulated game on Tuesday, according to Tigers manager Brad Ausmus. If he feels good Wednesday, he'll be officially cleared for a rehab assignment. Verlander unsuccessfully lobbied for more work Tuesday so that he could avoid a minor league start and go right back into the rotation, so it sounds like Sunday's rehab start would likely be his only one. That would likely put him in line to rejoin the Tigers' rotation on June 5 in Chicago. The veteran right-hander has been sidelined all season with a strained right triceps.

Avisail Garcia (knee) won't return Wednesday.

Garcia left Monday's game in Toronto after experiencing renewed discomfort in his right knee and he is not in the lineup Tuesday. The White Sox have decided to keep him off the heavily-criticized new turf at Rogers Centre. J.B. Shuck is filling in for Chicago.
