Dodgers recalled RHP Peter Moylan from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Moylan holds a 6.35 ERA over 10 appearances with the big club this season. He won't be used in high-leverage situations.

John Axford collected his sixth save of the year Saturday as the Rockies beat the Giants 5-3 in the second half of a doubleheader at Coors Field.

Axford gave up a leadoff single to Gregor Blanco, but that's all the damage the Giants could muster down two in the ninth. Axford has been pretty steady all season and is now running away with the Rockies' ninth-inning gig. He's obviously a must-own in all standard fantasy leagues, even as the closer on a bad Colorado team.

Anthony Rizzo finished 2-for-5 with a home run and six RBI in the Cubs' 9-6 defeat of the Diamondbacks on Saturday night in Arizona.

Rizzo slugged a go-ahead three-run bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning off Diamondbacks starter Rubby De La Rosa and then gave the Cubs the lead for good with a three-run homer off Enrique Burgos in the top of the ninth. The six RBI tied his career-high. Rizzo is batting .322/.444/.586 with nine home runs, 29 RBI, and 27 runs scored in 42 games this season. He also has nine stolen bases as a cherry on top for fantasy owners.

Mike Bolsinger delivered eight shutout innings Saturday in the Dodgers' 2-0 win over the Padres.

Bolsinger was absolutely terrific, yielding only one hit while striking out eight against a plenty-good Padres lineup. He did not walk a batter. The 27-year-old has posted tremendous numbers this season between Triple-A Oklahoma City and Los Angeles, and he's worth a shot in mixed fantasy leagues while the fire is lit. Some regression is probably coming. A road date with the Cardinals is next.

Despite pitching seven innings of shutout baseball against the Marlins on Saturday, Mike Wright came away with a no-decision, as the Orioles lost 1-0 in 13 innings.

Making his second major league start in a row, Wright followed up a fantastic outing against the Angels with another strong showing versus the Marlins. He has not allowed a run in either of his starts thus far. Despite the brilliant pitching, Wright wouldn't factor into the decision, as the game would remain 0-0 until the 13th inning, when Martin Prado hit a walk-off RBI single. Wright struck out four, walked three and now has a 10/3 K/BB ratio in 14 1/3 innings. Plus, the lovely 0.00 ERA. The seventh-ranked prospect in the Orioles' system by MLB.com, Wright had posted a 2.64 ERA and 3-0 record in six starts for Triple-A Norfolk prior to his promotion. He's making it very difficult for the Orioles to take him out of the rotation.
May 23 - 11:11 PM

Mike Napoli hit two long homers and finished 2-for-3 with three RBI and a walk in Saturday's 8-3 win over the Angels.

Napoli absolutely owned Angels starter C.J. Wilson on Saturday, smacking a laser of a solo homer in the second inning, then uncorking a two-run moonshot in the sixth that completely cleared the Green Monster. The Red Sox are dying for some kind of offensive production and it would be a welcome sign if Napoli could find a groove. He's hitting a disappointing .193/.292/.385 with seven homers, 16 RBI and 17 runs scored over 135 at-bats.
May 23 - 10:37 PM

The Rangers will activate Josh Hamilton (shoulder) from the disabled list on Monday.

He's ready to go after playing 12 rehab games with Double-A Frisco and Triple-A Round Rock. Hamilton hit .364 during that stretch with one homer and six RBI. The 34-year-old needed a little over two months to recover from shoulder surgery. He'll meet the team in Cleveland on Sunday.
May 23 - 9:56 PM

Brandon Crawford went 2-for-5 with an RBI single and a two-run triple in Saturday's 10-8 win over the Rockies.

Crawford hit a run-scoring single off Jordan Lyles in the fourth inning. He didn't have to wait long to put the hurt on the Rockies a second time, as he tripled in two runs an inning later. The shortstop has been brilliant thus far, hitting .303/.385/.514 with six homers, 31 RBI and 21 runs scored. As the sample size rises, all of his numbers are tracking toward career bests.
May 23 - 9:39 PM

Mike Moustakas left Saturday's game against the Cardinals with a bruised clavicle.

He got hit by a grounder in the top of the fifth inning. Christian Colon entered to play third base. Moustakas went 1-for-2 with a double before exiting.
May 23 - 9:02 PM

Glen Perkins picked up his 16th save of the season Saturday in the Twins' 4-3 win over the White Sox.

Perkins allowed a two-out single to Alexei Ramirez and then walked J.B. Shuck, but he rallied to strike out Tyler Flowers. The 32-year-old left-hander has a fantastic 1.33 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and 21/2 K/BB ratio in 20 1/3 innings this season, and he leads all major league closers in saves. Minnesota is off to a surprising 24-18 start.
May 23 - 7:29 PM

Kendall Graveman pitched six shutout innings Saturday in the A's 5-0 blanking of the Rays.

That four-week stay at Triple-A seemed to do him some good. Graveman struck out six and gave up only three hits, lowering his ERA from 8.27 (where it sat when he was demoted on April 26) all the way down to 6.04. The 24-year-old should get another turn in the A's rotation, and it's likely to be next Thursday against the Yankees.
May 23 - 7:22 PM

Lance McCullers held the Tigers to two runs over six innings Saturday to earn his first MLB win.

McCullers also pitched well Monday in his major league debut, limiting the A's to one run over 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision. His task was a bit tougher Saturday against a dangerous Tigers lineup and he rose to the challenge to lead the Astros to their 28th victory in 44 games. McCullers, a 21-year-old highly-thought-of prospect, could be up in the bigs for good. He gets the White Sox next at home.
