Darren Wolfson of 1500 ESPN reports that free agent Johan Santana is mulling over multiple minor league deals, but the Twins are not one of the teams that have made an offer.

The Twins remain interested in a reunion with Santana, but are not one of the multiple teams that have formally made him an offer. The Astros, Pirates, Yankees, Rays, Orioles and Brewers are all known to have varying levels of interest in the 34-year-old southpaw.

Julio Teheran got the win on Sunday after shutting out the Reds over six innings of work.

And with that, Teheran notched his first terrific outing since his Opening Day start back on April 6. It's been a tough start to the season for Teheran, who limited the Reds to three hits and a pair of walks while striking out six. The right-hander lowered his ERA to 3.82, and carries a 1.42 WHIP with a 28/14 K/BB ratio in 33 innings. Teheran will look to keep it going in his next start on the road against the Nationals.
May 3 - 4:16 PM

Severino Gonzalez limited the Marlins to two runs over five innings, picking up his first career major league win on Sunday.

Gonzalez was hammered in his MLB debut on Wednesday but bounced back nicely against the Fish. He yielded five hits and a walk while striking out five. Only one of the five hits went for extra bases. Gonzalez is likely to be sent back to Triple-A Lehigh Valley as Chad Billingsley is slated to return on Tuesday. Should the Phillies need a spot starter during the season, however, Gonzalez should be at the top of the list.
May 3 - 3:58 PM

Austin Jackson left Sunday's game versus the Astros with a right ankle injury.

Jackson looked to have rolled the ankle when he stepped on Roberto Hernandez's foot at first base. He needed assistance as he limped off to the clubhouse. It certainly looked like an injury that could require a disabled list stint, but the Mariners should have more on his injury later Sunday.
May 3 - 2:55 PM

Yasiel Puig (hamstring) will perform running drills for the second straight day on Sunday.

It's certainly a great sign. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Friday that he expected Puig to begin a rehab assignment soon, and it's looking like he'll be activated when first eligible on May 10 as long as he can avoid a setback. Puig sports a .279/.380/.465 batting line with a pair of homers over 11 games for Los Angeles this season.
May 3 - 1:47 PM

Josh Hamilton (shoulder) is expected to begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Round Rock later this week.

Hamilton's surgically-repaired shoulder is no longer an issue, but he's being worked back into playing shape. He's been training at the Rangers' spring training complex and faced live pitching Saturday for the first time. The big club expects Hamilton to join them towards the end of the month.
May 3 - 12:09 PM

J.J. Hardy (shoulder) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Bowie on Monday.

He'll play three games for the Baysox and then will likely be activated from the disabled list on Friday if all goes well. Hardy has been out all season with a left shoulder strain but has made progress recently after being given a cortisone injection.
May 3 - 11:49 AM

Hyun-Jin Ryu (shoulder) is expected to throw live batting practice at some point this week.

Ryu has been throwing off a mound for a week and is nearing the next step. A rehab assignment will be just around the corner after he faces hitters. Ryu is still weeks away from a return, but he's finally showing some real progress. The Dodgers could really use him after losing Brandon McCarthy (elbow).
May 3 - 11:30 AM

Mat Latos (hamstring) has been cleared to start on Tuesday versus the Nationals.

Latos had to exit his last outing with a strained left hamstring, but he's apparently made a nice recovery over the last few days. The veteran right-hander is off to a disappointing start this season with a 6.86 ERA over his first five starts.
May 3 - 11:25 AM

Denard Span (abdomen) is back in the Nationals' lineup Sunday.

Span missed the previous two contests after being lifted from Thursday's game when he felt soreness in the area where he had core muscle surgery. It's doubtful that he's 100 percent, but it appears the outfielder will gut it out.
May 3 - 11:13 AM

Aramis Ramirez (hamstring) is back in the Brewers' lineup Sunday.

Ramirez missed a couple games with a sore hamstring, but he's ready to roll now. The third baseman has struggled overall this season but has been heating up of late, sporting a .375/.423/.708 batting line with a couple homers over his last eight games.
May 3 - 11:09 AM

Lorenzo Cain will begin serving a two-game suspension on Sunday after dropping his appeal.

It's a little surprising that he'd drop it now and miss a game versus the division-rival Tigers, but obviously the Royals determined it was best to get it out of the way now. Cain will return to action on Wednesday against the Indians. Jarrod Dyson is handling center field Sunday.
