Giants manager Bruce Bochy indicated Thursday that Hunter Pence will be his No. 2 hitter while Marco Scutaro (back) is on the disabled list.

"This could be our lineup," Bochy said of Thursday's batting order, which had Pence in the two-hole. Pence will be moving up from the No. 5 spot, which means his RBI total will take a hit but he should score a few more runs. Pablo Sandoval, Michael Morse and Brandon Crawford will each move up a spot in the order. Pence figures to drop back down to the five-hole when Scutaro returns, but it's unclear when that might be.

Mookie Betts was pulled from Monday's game against the Blue Jays with left wrist discomfort.

It's unclear when Betts was injured, but he was spotted in the dugout talking to the trainer about his wrist and was then lifted for a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning. The Red Sox will have an update on Betts after the game.

Eduardo Nunez exited Monday's game versus the Blue Jays after aggravating his right knee injury.

Nunez doubled and scored in the first inning in his first plate appearance in two weeks, but he didn't look comfortable on the bases. He lined out in his next at-bat and then was pinch-hit for. The Red Sox will have more on Nunez's status after the game, but obviously the timing is not ideal with the playoffs looming.

Yasiel Puig is not in the Dodgers' lineup Monday after he showed up late for the team's pre-game workout.

Puig was benched Sunday after manager Dave Roberts expressed frustration with the outfielder being thrown out attempting a stolen base to end the game Saturday, and now he's riding the pine again after showing up late. It's obviously not what you want with the Dodgers set to begin the NLDS next week. Puig is expected to return to the lineup Tuesday.

Athletics manager Bob Melvin indicated Monday that Matt Olson (hamstring) is likely done for the season.

Olson tweaked his hamstring while stretching for a throw Sunday and Melvin said that the injury the first baseman is dealing with typically requires at least a week to heal. He'll undergo an MRI to determine the severity, but it appears fantasy owners will probably be without the slugging rookie the rest of the way. Olson has hit 24 home runs in just 59 games this season, including 16 across his last 25 contests.
Sep 25 - 7:13 PM

Zack Greinke will start the National League Wild Card Game for the Diamondbacks.

Robbie Ray has been fantastic this season (Arizona's entire rotation has, really), but it's no surprise that manager Torey Lovullo will go with Greinke in the win-or-go-home affair. Greinke is currently scheduled to pitch Wednesday versus the Giants, but he could be pushed back a couple days so that he'd be on regular rest on October 4 for the Wild Card Game.
Sep 25 - 7:00 PM

Jean Segura (finger) is hoping to return to the Mariners' lineup by this weekend's series versus the Angels.

Segura is missing a second straight game Monday after spraining a finger on Saturday, and it sounds like he's been ruled out through Wednesday. The Mariners have been eliminated from the Wild Card race, so fantasy owners probably can't count on Segura at all this week.
Sep 25 - 6:56 PM

Justin Turner (thumb) remained out of the Dodgers' lineup Monday.

Turner hasn't played since Thursday due to a bruised right thumb. The Dodgers don't seem overly worried about the injury, but with the division locked up and homefield advantage a virtual certainty, they'll exercise caution with their star third baseman. Turner will take some batting practice indoors Monday to test out his thumb and said he hopes to play Tuesday. Logan Forsythe is at third base Monday and Austin Barnes is at second.
Sep 25 - 6:41 PM

Yoan Moncada (shin) is hoping to be back in the White Sox' lineup Tuesday.

Moncada has dealt with a nagging shin issue since last month and is out of the lineup Monday. He underwent an MRI, which didn't reveal any new damage. Moncada has been red-hot the last few weeks, so fantasy owners are certainly hoping that he'll be back in there soon.
Sep 25 - 5:24 PM

Carlos Gonzalez (shoulder) remained out of the Rockies' lineup Monday.

CarGo hurt his left shoulder on a dive Saturday and has now missed two straight contests. It's unclear whether he'll be available off the bench. Gerardo Parra is in right field Monday.
Sep 25 - 4:57 PM

Nolan Arenado (hand) is in the Rockies' lineup Monday.

Arenado departed Sunday's contest with a bruised right hand, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go a day later. He's at third base and batting third against Odrisamer Despaigne and the Marlins.
Sep 25 - 4:55 PM

Gary Sanchez went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and a double in Monday’s victory over the Royals.

He went deep after Judge’s record-setting 50th homer of the season. Sanchez has slugged 20 homers since the All-Star break and 33 for the year. Keep in mind that he missed about four weeks with a strained right biceps during the first half. Amazingly, the 83 homers from Aaron Judge and Sanchez are the most by a pair of Yankees players in the same season since Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle combined to hit 115 homers in 1961.
