Tuesday's game between the Cubs and Yankees has been postponed due to rain.

It's currently raining in the Bronx and the forecast doesn't get more promising going into the evening, so they decided to nix things early. The teams will play a day-night doubleheader Wednesday, with the first game beginning at 1:05 p.m. ET.

Aaron Nola (elbow) is scheduled to make his Grapefruit League debut Thursday against the Blue Jays.

It will be his first live appearance since last July 28. Nola got off to a terrific start in 2016 before being diagnosed with a low-grade sprain of the ulnar collateral ligament in his elbow and a flexor sprain in his forearm. The young right-hander says he feels 100 percent now.

Hanley Ramirez is dealing with some minor shoulder soreness.

The soreness affects his throwing ability, which is why he has only played DH (and not first base) so far in Grapefruit League games. DH is where he will get most of his starts this year anyway, assuming all goes according to plan. Hanley holds a shiny .331/.381/.634 career batting line in that role.

Kolten Wong (shoulder) is starting at second base and batting leadoff in Monday's Grapefruit League game against the Red Sox.

It will be the first live action of the spring for Wong, who's been slowed in Cardinals camp by some lingering right shoulder inflammation. Cardinals manager Mike Matheny insisted to reporters Sunday that the shoulder discomfort is not a big concern, but we'll continue to monitor the situation closely. Wong has dealt with shoulder problems before.

According to Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports, the Nationals have expressed interest in free agent Angel Pagan.

But only if it's going to be a non-guaranteed minor league deal, per Rosenthal's sources. Pagan has struggled to attract meaningful interest on the open market as a 35-year-old outfielder with durability issues. He could back up new center fielder Adam Eaton in Washington. Michael Taylor would probably then open the season at Triple-A.

Yu Darvish tossed 1 2/3 scoreless frames in his first spring start Sunday versus the Royals.

Darvish yielded just one hit, and it was a two-out bunt single in the first inning by Raul Mondesi. He walked two but struck out two in the steady afternoon outing. The 30-year-old right-hander should be ready to return to fantasy-ace status in his first full season back from Tommy John surgery. He registered a 3.41 ERA, 1.116 WHIP, and 132/31 K/BB ratio over 100 1/3 innings (17 starts) for the Rangers in 2016.
Feb 26 - 4:51 PM

Rich Hill went two hitless innings in his first Cactus League start Sunday versus the Brewers.

Hill issued a leadoff walk to Jonathan Villar in the bottom of the first inning, but he promptly picked off the Milwaukee speedster and didn't allow a baserunner the rest of the way. Hill struck out two -- back-to-back in the second inning -- during his sharp spring debut. The veteran left-hander re-upped with the Dodgers in early December on a three-year, $48 million free agent deal.
Feb 26 - 4:28 PM

Danny Salazar struck out three batters over two scoreless innings in his first start of the spring Sunday versus the Cubs.

Salazar walked the first batter he faced, Jason Heyward, and then gave up a single to Eloy Jimenez to lead off the second, but the 27-year-old right-hander was otherwise sharp in his Cactus League debut. He'll be trying to reach 200 innings for the first time in his professional career this season with the defending American League champions.
Feb 26 - 4:05 PM

Todd Frazier (oblique) will resume hitting on Monday.

Frazier tweaked his left oblique a week ago, but it's considered a minor strain and the third baseman is evidently feeling much improved. He's also felt some lingering effects of a sprained finger that he suffered late last season, but that doesn't appear to be an issue anymore. Frazier should be a top-10 fantasy third baseman in 2017 if he can stay healthy.
Feb 26 - 1:37 PM

Garrett Richards (elbow) threw his first live batting practice session of the spring on Sunday.

Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports that Richards "seemed to be fine" and "probably" will be ready to pitch in a Cactus League game by next weekend. The right-hander opted for rest and stem cell treatment for a tear in his ulnar collateral ligament and his rehab has come along well to this point. Richards will obviously be a huge health risk heading into 2017, but he should shoot up draft boards this spring if he looks like his pre-injury self.
Feb 26 - 1:18 PM

Jason Kipnis will be shut down from throwing for 4-5 days after being diagnosed with a strained right rotator cuff.

The Indians have had Kipnis on what they were calling a shoulder strengthening/maintenance program this spring, but they had been saying it was just a precaution. Now we know that the second baseman is actually injured. Kipnis was given a cortisone shot in hopes that it will speed up the healing process. It's obviously unclear at this point as to when Kipnis might be game-ready.
Feb 26 - 11:08 AM

Josh Hamilton is flying to Houston and is likely to undergo another surgery on his left knee Monday.

The procedure is expected to "only" be of the arthroscopic variety, but it will be his fourth on the knee over the last year. The Rangers will continue to give Hamilton a chance to rehab and compete for a roster spot, but he just can't get his body to cooperate anymore. There's a pretty good chance the former MVP has played his last major league game.
