Nationals recalled OF Eury Perez from Triple-A Syracuse; placed him on the 60-day disabled list with a fractured left toe.

The move was made in order to clear room on the 40-man roster for Greg Dobbs. Perez has been out since late April and isn't not clear how much more time he'll miss.

Justin Turner (thumb) remained out of the Dodgers' lineup Monday.

Turner hasn't played since Thursday due to a bruised right thumb. The Dodgers don't seem overly worried about the injury, but with the division locked up and homefield advantage a virtual certainty, they'll exercise caution with their star third baseman. Logan Forsythe is at third base Monday and Austin Barnes is at second.
Sep 25 - 6:41 PM

Jean Segura (finger) remained out of the Mariners' lineup Monday.

Segura is dealing with a sprained finger and hasn't started the last two games. He's considered day-to-day. Taylor Motter will handle shortstop again. The M's also have Jacob Hannemann in center field over Guillermo Heredia.
Sep 25 - 6:20 PM

Matt Olson (hamstring) is not in Monday's lineup and will undergo an MRI.

Olson tweaked his hamstring while stretching for a throw Sunday and he admitted that the ailment is worse Monday. His fantasy owners will have their fingers crossed that it's not an injury that will knock the red-hot slugger out for the rest of the season. The A's have Ryon Healy at first base, Khris Davis in the designated hitter spot and Mark Canha in left field Monday.
Sep 25 - 6:00 PM

Yoan Moncada (shin) is hoping to be back in the White Sox' lineup Tuesday.

Moncada has dealt with a nagging shin issue since last month and is out of the lineup Monday. He underwent an MRI, which didn't reveal any new damage. Moncada has been red-hot the last few weeks, so fantasy owners are certainly hoping that he'll be back in there soon.
Sep 25 - 5:24 PM

Carlos Gonzalez (shoulder) remained out of the Rockies' lineup Monday.

CarGo hurt his left shoulder on a dive Saturday and has now missed two straight contests. It's unclear whether he'll be available off the bench. Gerardo Parra is in right field Monday.
Sep 25 - 4:57 PM

Nolan Arenado (hand) is in the Rockies' lineup Monday.

Arenado departed Sunday's contest with a bruised right hand, but he's feeling well enough to give it a go a day later. He's at third base and batting third against Odrisamer Despaigne and the Marlins.
Sep 25 - 4:55 PM

Gary Sanchez went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and a double in Monday’s victory over the Royals.

He went deep after Judge’s record-setting 50th homer of the season. Sanchez has slugged 20 homers since the All-Star break and 33 for the year. Keep in mind that he missed about four weeks with a strained right biceps during the first half. Amazingly, the 83 homers from Aaron Judge and Sanchez are the most by a pair of Yankees players in the same season since Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle combined to hit 115 homers in 1961.
Sep 25 - 4:10 PM

Aaron Judge slugged his 49th and 50th homers Monday against the Royals to set the new MLB rookie home run record.

History in the Bronx. Judge launched a two-run shot off Jake Junis in the third inning before slugging a solo shot off Trevor Cahill in the seventh. Mark McGwire set the previous record with 49 homers in 1987, but Judge has stormed past him with a monster September. He now has 13 homers this month. Judge has homered against every American League team this season. He’s the first Yankees player to do that since Alex Rodriguez in 2007. It was unthinkable amid his miserable slump coming out of the All-Star break, but Judge has reemerged as a legitimate candidate for the American League MVP Award.
Sep 25 - 4:02 PM

Bryce Harper (knee) is out of Monday's lineup due to illness.

In other words, the delay has nothing due to with his knee. That's great news. Harper hasn't been officially activated, but look for him to make his long-awaited return in the next couple of days. The goal is mostly to have him shake the rust going into the postseason.
Sep 25 - 3:45 PM

Eduardo Nunez (knee) has returned to the starting lineup Monday as the designated hitter.

Nunez has been sidelined since September 10 with a PCL strain in his right knee, so he ended up missing a little over two weeks. The Red Sox will ease him back into things out of the DH spot with the postseason approaching. Hanley Ramirez is starting at first base Monday.
Sep 25 - 3:29 PM

Jose Abreu (shin) is not in Monday's lineup against the Angels.

Abreu has now missed back-to-back starts with shin soreness, but an MRI came back clean and he's hoping to play Tuesday. Matt Davidson will cover first base duties while Rymer Liriano serves as the DH. Tyler Saladino is at third base.
