Alex Rios is still feeling soreness in his right ankle.

Rios returned to action Sunday, but didn't last four innings before injuring the ankle again. He's scheduled to see team physician Dr. Keith Meister on Monday night, after which we should know more about his status. The veteran outfielder cleared revocable waivers earlier this month, but he'll obviously have to prove his health for any team to want to trade for him.

Trayce Thompson (back) is in the Dodgers' starting lineup Tuesday night against the Cubs.

He will start in left field and bat fifth versus Cubs right-hander Jake Arrieta. Thompson missed a couple of games in a row with some minor soreness in his back.
May 31 - 4:17 PM

James Loney has officially been added to the Mets' 25-man roster.

Loney was acquired from the Padres on Saturday for cash and will be thrown into the Mets' starting lineup Tuesday night against the White Sox. He should start regularly at first base against right-handed pitching, at least until Lucas Duda (back) returns. Loney was hitting the ball well at Triple-A El Paso before the trade and is worthy of consideration in deeper fantasy formats now that he's in a good position for playing time.
May 31 - 4:10 PM

David Wright was given a pain-killing injection for his neck injury on Tuesday.

The veteran third baseman revealed to reporters Monday that he's been diagnosed with a herniated disk in his neck and he is out of the Mets' starting lineup on Tuesday night. The hope is this pain-killing injection will help him avoid the 15-day disabled list.
May 31 - 4:04 PM

Alex Rodriguez is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Blue Jays.

Carlos Beltran will get a second straight start out of the DH spot. Meanwhile, Rob Refsnyder will make the start in right field.

Red Sox placed OF Jackie Bradley, Jr. on the paternity leave list.

Bradley can remain on the paternity leave list for 24-to-72 hours. Rusney Castillo will replace him on the active roster.
May 31 - 3:34 PM

Matt Duffy (wrist) is not in Tuesday's lineup against the Braves.

Duffy took a pitch off his left wrist during Monday's game, but fortunately X-rays came back negative. The hope is that he'll be ready to return in the next day or two. Conor Gillaspie will fill in at third base.
May 31 - 3:30 PM

Bryce Harper (knee) is absent from Tuesday's lineup against the Phillies.

Harper suffered a right knee contusion when he was hit by a pitch on Monday and will get a day of rest. Consider him day-to-day. Jayson Werth will slide over to right field in his absence while Clint Robinson will get a start in left.
May 31 - 3:26 PM

Carlos Carrasco will be activated from the disabled list to start Thursday against the Royals.

Carrasco, out since late-April with a hamstring strain, tossed four innings of one-run ball with six strikeouts in his lone minor league rehab start with Double-A Akron on Saturday. He'll be limited to around 80 pitches in his return to action.
May 31 - 3:25 PM

Dexter Fowler (heel) is back in Tuesday's lineup against the Dodgers.

Fowler was held out of Monday's lineup with a sore right heel, but he's going to try to give it a go. Jason Heyward will move back over to right field while Jorge Soler will play left.
May 31 - 3:21 PM

Giancarlo Stanton (side) is out of the Marlins' lineup again Tuesday against the Pirates.

Stanton has now missed seven straight starts due soreness in his right side, but the Marlins continue to say that he's not too far off. Ichiro Suzuki is starting in right field and batting leadoff.
May 31 - 3:14 PM

Ketel Marte (thumb) is expected to be activated from the disabled list next Monday.

That's the first day he's eligible. Marte, who has been out since May 21 with a left thumb sprain, will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday. He's expected to play a total of five games through Saturday before rejoining the Mariners. The 22-year-old was batting .276/.307/.378 with five steals in 40 games prior to the injury.
