Tigers recalled LHP Robbie Ray from Triple-A Toledo.

Ray will start for the Tigers on Tuesday night against the Pirates -- in place of the injured Anibal Sanchez -- and could remain in the major league rotation until Sanchez (pectoral) returns. Ray has not been dominant this year at Triple-A (or in the majors) and is doubtful to be a good streaming option in fantasy leagues.

Khris Davis was diagnosed with a torn right meniscus and will undergo surgery on Tuesday.

Davis suffered the injury while batting Saturday against the Diamondbacks. There's no timetable for his return but it should be a lengthy absence. Gerardo Parra will start in left field with Davis sidelined. Davis is hitting .250 this year with five homers and 16 RBI.

Giancarlo Stanton went 2-for-4 with two solo homers in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Mets.

Stanton cranked his first homer in the third inning, off of Jonathan Niese, then hit another bomb in the ninth inning. With the big game, the slugger is now hitting .232/.326/.524 with 15 homers and 44 RBI. The power numbers are outstanding, obviously, but the average still has room to rise, as Stanton is a career .267 hitter.
May 30 - 7:39 PM

Paul Goldschmidt went 3-for-5 with two homers and four RBI in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Brewers.

Goldschmidt more or less ruined Brewer starter Kyle Lohse's life, hitting a solo homer in the third inning before cranking a monster three-run shot in the fourth that went approximately 433 feet. He's now hitting .345/.448/.661 with 14 homers and 42 RBI. The numbers speak for themselves.
May 30 - 7:21 PM

Adam Jones was diagnosed with a mild ankle sprain.

His X-rays came back negative. Jones missed only his sixth game in the last four seasons Saturday against the Rays. The four-time All-Star is day-to-day.
May 30 - 7:15 PM

Dallas Keuchel was flat-out dominant in Saturday's 3-0 win over the White Sox, striking out 11 in a complete game shutout.

Keuchel had everything working against the White Sox. Not only did he strike out 11, he did so without walking a batter. With the spectacular effort, he dropped his ERA to a stellar 1.76, to go with a 0.91 WHIP and 60/21 K/BB ratio over 81 2/3 innings. It's been a beautiful season to this point. The Orioles are up next on Keuchel's schedule.
May 30 - 6:50 PM

Erasmo Ramirez pitched superbly in a 3-0 win over the Orioles on Saturday, allowing just three hits and striking out seven across seven innings.

The Orioles had no answer here. In addition to the seven strikeouts, Ramirez walked just one. It was a much-needed rebound for the righty, who allowed five runs to the A's in his last start and is working with a 5.53 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 36/17 K/BB ratio over 42 1/3+ innings. He'll try to build off this outing when he takes to the road against the Mariners in his next start.
May 30 - 6:20 PM

Saturday's game between the Cubs and the Royals has been postponed due to rain.

The game will be made up on September 28. Yordano Ventura and Tsuyoshi Wada will have their starts pushed back to Sunday.
May 30 - 5:54 PM

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Yasiel Puig (hamstring) could begin a rehab assignment late next week.

He's been running at the team's spring training facility in Arizona. Puig was close to returning earlier this month but suffered a setback during a rehab assignment with High-A Rancho Cucamonga. He hasn't played with the Dodgers since April 24.

Athletics placed LHP Sean Doolittle (shoulder) on the 15-day disabled list.

You could see the writing on the wall after Doolittle missed fielding practice on Saturday. His velocity was way down Wednesday and it's clear he's still battling a nagging shoulder injury. Oakland recalled RHP Angel Castro from Triple-A Nashville in the corresponding roster move.
May 30 - 5:30 PM

Brian Dozier delivered a go-ahead RBI triple in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jays.

With the score tied in the bottom of the seventh, Dozier drove a ball to the right-center field gap and Ezequiel Carrera came up empty-handed while attempting a diving catch, which allowed Aaron Hicks to score the go-ahead. Dozier finished the day 1-for-4 and is batting .247/.325/.500 with nine home runs, 25 RBI, and three stolen bases over 47 games this season. He's not stealing as many bases as fantasy owners expected, but the added power is making up for it.
May 30 - 5:14 PM

Sean Doolittle did not participate in Saturday's fielding practice and could be headed back to the disabled list.

Doolittle looked uncomfortable playing catch Friday and topped out at 89 mph Wednesday in his return from the disabled list. The rotator cuff injury that kept him out for the first eight weeks of the season might still be bothering him. Tyler Clippard will remain the closer while Doolittle works through his injury.
