Bryce Harper belted a two-run home run, one of his two hits in four at-bats, as the Nationals skated to a win over the Mets on Tuesday.

Days after lifting a walk-off home run against the Mets following rumors of a possible demotion to Triple-A, Harper homered again against his club's division rival. His two-run blast to left field off of Rafael Montero in the second inning broke a scoreless tie. The outfielder will need to keep it up to bring his numbers up to expectations. He's carrying a .254/.338/.380 line with five home runs and 18 RBI.

Ben Zobrist left Sunday's game against the Royals with an apparent injury.

Zobrist didn't suffer any obvious injury but had to be removed while playing defense in the fifth inning. He's dealt with a heel issue recently, so that could be the culprit. Expect more information on his status soon.

Omar Infante left Sunday's game versus the Athletics with an apparent leg injury.

Infante was spotted wincing in the fifth inning as he pulled into second base with a double. The Royals could be without both of their middle infielders for a bit with Alcides Escobar (knee) also sidelined. Expect an update on Infante shortly.
Apr 19 - 3:55 PM

Jonny Gomes walked, doubled, and knocked in four runs in Sunday's win against the Blue Jays.

Gomes cleared the bases in the top of the first inning to stake the Braves to an early 3-0 lead. He added a sacrifice fly in the third inning. The 34-year-old veteran is slashing a productive .261/.333/.565 with two home runs and seven RBI. Gomes' fantasy appeal, however, is limited to NL-only formats.
Apr 19 - 3:49 PM

Travis d'Arnaud has been diagnosed with a fracture in his right hand.

The Mets have now lost both d'Arnaud and Jerry Blevins to fractures in the same day. It's such rotten timing for d'Arnaud, who was off to a blistering .317/.356/.537 start at the plate. How long he'll be sidelined will depend on the specifics of the fracture, but obviously it's going to be an extended absence. Look for the Mets to promote Kevin Plawecki to fill in for d'Arnaud.
Apr 19 - 3:49 PM

X-rays have revealed that Jerry Blevins has a fractured left forearm.

Blevins suffered the injury when he was hit by a comebacker Sunday. It's a big blow to the Mets' bullpen that already lost lefty Josh Edgin for the season. A timetable for the reliever isn't known at this point, but obviously he's looking at an extended absence. Blevins is unscored upon in seven appearances this season.
Apr 19 - 3:33 PM

X-rays confirmed that Devon Travis did not suffer a left rib fracture.

Travis had to leave Sunday's game following a hit by pitch, but he managed to escape with just a bruise. The Blue Jays are considering the second baseman day-to-day.
Apr 19 - 3:02 PM

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly is hopeful that Yasiel Puig (hamstring) will be ready to return to the lineup on Tuesday.

Puig returned to action Saturday after missing a few days with a hamstring issue, but he's sitting out Sunday with more soreness. It doesn't appear to be a major concern at this point, but we'll have to wait and see how he feels after the off day. Andre Ethier will see more playing time while Puig is out.
Apr 19 - 2:07 PM

Twins general manager Terry Ryan said in a radio interview Sunday that Ricky Nolasco (elbow) has been cleared to begin a rehab assignment.

He was given the go-ahead after getting through a bullpen session Sunday with no issues. His pitch count on Saturday at Low-A Cedar Rapids is expected to be around 75, so Nolasco seems likely to need a couple rehab starts. Trevor May is likely to be booted from the rotation when Nolasco is ready.
Apr 19 - 1:16 PM

Brandon Belt is starting Sunday's game versus the Diamondbacks in left field.

It's his first start at the position since 2012, as Giants manager Bruce Bochy is obviously willing to shake things up in an effort to get his struggling offense going. Buster Posey is starting at first base Sunday, while Andrew Susac is behind the plate.
Apr 19 - 1:06 PM

The Athletics will wait to see how Jesse Hahn (blister) does in his between-starts bullpen session before determining whether he'll be ready for his next outing.

Hahn tossed 5 1/3 scoreless frames Saturday before having to leave with a blister issue. He'll ultimately be fine, but it's possible the A's will skip him one time through the rotation in order to allow the blister to fully heal. Jesse Chavez, who threw 3 2/3 scoreless innings himself in relief of Hahn, would be in line for a spot start.
Apr 19 - 12:15 PM

Justin Upton (quad) is not in the Padres' lineup Sunday.

Upton tweaked his quad in the ninth inning Saturday but remained in the game and even doubled in the 10th. He'll be fine but needs a day or two of rest. Will Venable is handling left field Sunday. The Padres are also going with Yangervis Solarte over Yonder Alonso at first base and Clint Barmes over Alexi Amarista at shortstop.
