Saturday's game between the Reds and Rockies has been postponed due to a water main break.

The water main break flooded the street outside Coors Field and shut down all of the stadium's plumbing. The issue should be solved by Sunday afternoon, and the two teams have scheduled a makeup doubleheader. Jordan Lyles was scheduled to pitch for the Rockies and Dylan Axelrod was to take the mound for the visiting Reds.

Michael Conforto hit a two-run home run in Wednesday's win against the Phillies.

Conforto, who finished 2-for-4, sent an Aaron Nola out to left field to push the Mets' lead to 6-0 in the third inning. The outfielder is hitting a solid .311/.396/.567 with five home runs and 17 RBI across 106 plate appearances to begin his major league career.
Sep 2 - 10:09 PM

Bryce Harper left Wednesday's game with left glute tightness.

Harper didn't show any noticeable signs of injury before being removed. His outlook should be clearer in the coming day or two.
Sep 2 - 9:58 PM

Lorenzo Cain left Wednesday's game against the Tigers after fouling a ball off his calf.

"It is not considered serious," a team official said of the move. The Royals owned a 9-0 lead at the time. Cain was replaced by Jarrod Dyson in center field, and he should be back in the Royals' lineup in short order.
Sep 2 - 9:54 PM

R.A. Dickey pitched a complete game, limiting the Indians to one run in Wednesday's win.

The only run Dickey allowed in nine innings came on a Carlos Santana single in the fourth inning. It was one of four hits the knuckleballer gave up while striking out six and walking none. His ERA now sits at 4.09 along with a 1.25 WHIP and a 112/57 K/BB ratio over 182 2/3 innings. Dickey has won seven consecutive decisions over his last 10 starts and will look to make it eight next week in Boston against the Red Sox.
Sep 2 - 9:50 PM

Marcus Stroman (knee) struck out seven over 4 2/3 scoreless innings in a rehab start with Class-A Lansing on Wednesday.

In his first rehab start, the right-hander didn't allow a single hit before exiting. Stroman threw 69 pitches in the contest. Stroman is working his way back from ACL surgery in spring and will next throw a bullpen session Friday before making his final rehab start Monday with Triple-A Buffalo. After that, the 24-year-old could be starting games for the Jays in a pennant race.
Sep 2 - 9:26 PM

Miguel Cabrera was ejected from Wednesday's game for arguing balls and strikes.

Cabrera struck out to start the top of the fourth inning and wasn't a fan of home plate umpire Quinn Wolcott's call. He was 1-for-2 with the strikeout before being tossed.
Sep 2 - 9:19 PM

Domonic Brown was removed from Wednesday's game due to concussion concerns.

Brown flipped over a wall in the second inning and stayed in the game briefly before being removed. A trip to the 7-day concussion disabled list could be in the cards for the 28-year-old.
Sep 2 - 9:12 PM

Daniel Murphy left Wednesday's game with mild left quad discomfort.

The Mets called the move "precautionary," but Murphy has missed time with an injury to the same quad already this season. More should be known Thursday, but it sounds as though he's day to day for now.
Sep 2 - 8:30 PM

Didi Gregorius went 2-for-4 with a home run and three runs scored, and the Yankees outlasted the Red Sox 13-8 on Wednesday.

Gregorius scored three of the team's 13 runs and hit one of their five homers on the afternoon. It was the third homer in his last seven games as Gregorius has been one of the hottest hitters in the game lately. He's 16-for-28 in that span, collecting 12 RBI and eight runs scored. The shortstop is now batting a respectable .272/.321/.372 with eight home runs, 44 RBI and 49 runs scored on the year.
Sep 2 - 8:13 PM

Lucas Duda (back) swung a bat Wednesday for the first time since his back injury.

Duda won't come off the disabled list when first eligible on Sunday, but it's still a step in the right direction. Duda hit the DL on August 22 with a small thoracic herniation in his back. With minor league seasons winding down Duda might need to do all his rehab with the Mets, but he won't be rushed back now that rosters have expanded and the Mets have a lead in the NL East. Still, Duda should be back sometime this month.

Crawford is still sidelined after being hit in the left calf by a pitch during Monday's game. Ehire Adrianza is starting in Crawford's place against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.
