Phillies activated RHP Vince Velasquez from the 10-day disabled list.

Velasquez will return to the Philly rotation on Wednesday night against the Mets after missing exactly 10 days with a right arm contusion. The 26-year-old holds an ugly 4.69 ERA this season, but he's struck out 107 batters in 88 1/3 innings and makes for a good fantasy play in his first start back at New York.

Corey Dickerson went 4-for-5 with a homer, two RBI and three runs scored in a 9-2 victory over the Reds on Sunday.

Dickerson took Matt Harvey deep in the second inning with a runner on to give him 11 on the season. He also doubled, which gives him 23 in 2018. Hitting at the top of the lineup, Dickerson has been excellent for the Pirates in his first year with the club, and the four hits have his average up to .315 with an .856 OPS to go with it. The Pirates have him under control through 2019 so they don't have to trade him, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see a contender try and procure his services.
Jul 22 - 4:05 PM

Matt Harvey was rocked for eight runs in 3 2/3 innings on Sunday in a loss to the Pirates.

Harvey gave up four homers in the loss, and he also allowed eight hits while striking out two. He didn’t walk anyone, if you’re desperate for positives. The former Met had been pitching well before this disaster, but today was a reminder that he’s still capable of having clunkers. This would definitely count as a clunker. It raises his ERA to 5.21, and he’ll take that ERA and a WHIP of 1.32 into his next schedule start against the Phillies on Friday. That’s assuming he’s not dealt beforehand, of course.
Jul 22 - 4:01 PM

Justin Turner was pulled from Sunday's game against the Brewers after aggravating his right groin injury.

Turner was making his first start since July 11 and lasted just three innings. The Dodgers should have more on his status after the game, but it would be a surprise if he's not headed to the disabled list at this point. Turner had an RBI double in one of his two plate appearances before exiting.

James Paxton (back) remains on track to rejoin the Mariners' rotation Tuesday against the Giants.

Paxton threw a 40-pitch bullpen session Saturday without issue and felt good a day after Sunday. The left-hander had to leave his final start of the first half with lower back inflammation but it appears that he'll be fine moving forward.
Jul 22 - 2:49 PM

Carlos Correa (back) has resumed throwing and running drills.

Correa was shut down a bit after having a setback with his ailing back, but he's resumed baseball activities. He'll need to reel off a few days in a row of workouts with no problems before the Astros consider a rehab assignment plan. Correa seems unlikely to return before the end of the month at this point.
Jul 22 - 2:39 PM

Yu Darvish (elbow) played catch again Sunday.

Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein said Darvish felt good and the next step for the right-hander will be to throw off a mound. It's obviously a big step for Darvish, but he remains a long ways away from rejoining the rotation. He's been out since late May with a right elbow impingement.
Jul 22 - 1:32 PM

Mariners activated C Mike Zunino from the 10-day disabled list.

Zunino has missed most of this month with a bruised ankle but is ready to go after playing a couple rehab games. The catcher is hitting just .189/.251/.403 this season but has slugged 12 home runs.
Jul 22 - 1:25 PM

The Dodgers are expected to recall Walker Buehler to start Wednesday in Philadelphia.

Buehler was optioned before the All-Star break as the club keeps an eye on his workload, as he'll have gone nearly two weeks in between starts. His pitch count should be relatively limited in Philly, but fantasy owners should still feel pretty comfortable locking him in.
Jul 22 - 12:49 PM

Jesus Aguilar was scratched from the Brewers' lineup Sunday after feeling cramping in both hamstrings Saturday.

It doesn't appear to be much of a concern, but the Brewers understandably want to proceed cautiously with their slugger. Ryan Braun is at first base and Keon Broxton is getting a start in the outfield.
Jul 22 - 12:28 PM

Ervin Santana (finger) will make his season debut for the Twins on Wednesday in Toronto.

Santana had surgery on his right middle finger back in February and had to restart his rehab assignment following a setback back in May. He tossed six innings of one-run ball in his last rehab starts, although he struck out just one batter and walked three. Santana is a solid, albeit unspectacular, fantasy option.
Jul 22 - 12:26 PM

Royals acquired OF Brian Goodwin from the Nationals for RHP Jacob Condra-Bogan.

Goodwin was out of options and not seeing much action with the Nationals, but he should play regularly -- at least against righties -- on the talent-deficient Royals roster. The 27-year-old has some power and speed and looks like a pretty solid pickup in deeper leagues even though he'll be part of an awful lineup.
