NASCAR has assigned Benny Gordon the No. 24 for the NASCAR Nationwide Series DRIVE4COPD300 and the remainder of the 2012 NASCAR Nationwide Season.

Benny will be wheeling the #24 Toyota Camry around the tracks of the Nationwide Series. The Toyota being driven in Daytona has been purchased by Benny Gordon Racing from Michael Waltrip Racing. The team name is Horizon Sports Marketing, the drivers will be Benny Gordon, Amber Cope, and Angela Cope.-jayski.com

Presbyterian Healthcare announced today it will partner with Michael McDowell, driver of the No. 98 Ford Fusion car in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

As part of the sponsorship, McDowell's car will exclusively sport the Presbyterian Healthcare logo during the Coca-Cola 600 race weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway beginning Thursday, May 24. Presbyterian is using the partnership as an opportunity to promote to a wide audience the importance of regular health screenings to save lives.-Breaking Limits

Former world champion driver Jacques Villeneuve will compete behind the wheel of the No. 22 Discount Tire Dodge Challenger in the NNS races at Road America (June 23) and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve (August 18).

He will return to the Dodge at these venues for the second-consecutive season. Villeneuve will round out a talent-rich lineup for the No. 22 Dodge that will also include 2010 NNS champion Brad Keselowski and Parker Kligerman throughout the 2012 season. Villeneuve is one of only three drivers to win the Indianapolis 500, the Indy Car championship and the Formula One Series world title, joining former Penske Racing drivers Mario Andretti and Emerson Fittipaldi in the rare racing triple crown. Villenueve won the Indy 500 and the CART Series Indy Car crown in 1995 before moving to Formula One where he captured the driver’s title in 1997.

Biagi-DenBeste Racing will be fielding the 98 Ford Mustang in the History 300 Nationwide Series race at Charlotte on Saturday, May 26th.

After a brief hiatus away from racing, the Biagi-DenBeste team is excited to be back on the oval. The team has experience on the track, taking home the checkered flag in the Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona in July of 2004 with the #4 GEICO car. Driven by Reed Sorenson, the #98 Ford will be black and gold. The car is designed to mirror the new Super Snake from Shelby American in celebration of their 50th Anniversary. Fastenal will sponsor all three Roush Fenway Racing entries in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 27.

The Fastenal paint schemes for Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth will also incorporate the "NASCAR Unites – An American Salute" red, white and blue theme. This is not the first time Fastenal has sponsored the RFR fleet. Last year all three RFR Nationwide Series Fords displayed the Fastenal colors at the Charlotte race in May. The Blue Team placed first (Kenseth), second (Edwards) and fourth (Ricky Stenhouse Jr.).-Roush Fenway Racing

The Coca-Cola 600 was Bobby Labonte’s very first trip to Victory Lane in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 28, 1995.

Labonte’s impressive record at the 1.5-mile oval includes two wins, three pole awards, 12 top-five, 17 top-10 finishes. He has also led 807 laps in front of the hometown crowd. Not to mention, he has finished second six times.-JTG Daugherty Racing

Green Smoke®, a leading producer of electronic cigarettes, announced it will be the primary sponsor of T.J. Bell in the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 27.

Bell will be at the helm of the No. 32 Ford Fusion fielded by FAS Lane Racing. Bell has compiled two Nationwide Series starts and four Camping World Truck Series starts at Charlotte Motor Speedway. His best finish came in 2007, in which he started 11th and finished ninth in Truck Series competition.-Breaking Limits

BK Racing announced its plans to run a third car for David Reutimann in eight NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events, including this week's Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Reutimann will pilot the No. 73 Burger King/Dr Pepper Toyota in each NSCS race that he doesn't drive for Tommy Baldwin Racing. Landon Cassill will remain in the No. 83 car and Travis Kvapil will remain in the No. 93 car for the rest of the season. Reutimann has run two events with BK Racing this season driving the No. 93 car, the Daytona 500 and the Southern 500 at Darlington.-Breaking Limits

Sherwin Williams will be primary sponsor of Joey Coulter's NASCAR Nationwide Series debut during the May 26 History 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Coulter will drive the No. 21 Sherwin Williams Chevrolet at the 1.5-mile race track in Concord, N.C. He is currently in his second full season of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series competition for RCR (No. 22). He was 2011 Sunoco Rookie of the Year. Coulter currently sits 10th in the 2012 Camping World Truck Series driver championship point standings with two top-10 finishes in the first five events.-Richard Childress Racing

Mark Martin won the 600-mile race at Charlotte in 2002 and the fall race three times (1992,1995 & 1998).

He’s led 1,183 laps in his 54 starts at CMS. He won the pole for the 600-mile and the fall race in 1991. Martin will have special pit crew members Sunday. Aaron’s NHRA top fuel drag racer Antron Brown and 2011 Funny Car champion Matt Hagan will man the signboard during pit stops. No. 55 crew chief Rodney Childers won the Coca-Cola 600 with David Reutimann in 2009 giving MWR its first Sprint Cup victory.-Michael Waltrip Racing
