Jeff Gordon won the Ford EcoBoost 400, his 87th victory in 689 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.

This is the No. 24 Chevrolet driver's second victory and 18th top-10 finish in 2012. This is his first victory and 11th top-10 finish in 14 races at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Gordon now has at least one win at every active track except Kentucky Speedway. Gordon ended the season 10th in the 2012 NSCS point standings.

Alex Tagliani, from Lachenaie, Quebec, posted a fast lap of 12.514 seconds (71.919 mph) in qualifying Friday evening at the quarter-mile Edmonton International Raceway to earn his fifth career pole.

The first four came on road courses, his specialty driving discipline. Mark Dilley, who led afternoon practice, will join Tagliani on the outside row tonight thanks to his fast qualifying lap of 12.525 (71.856). J.R. Fitzpatrick was third-fastest at 12.559 (71.662). L.P. Dumoulin and Andrew Ranger were the fourth- and fifth-fastest qualifiers, respectively.

Darrell Wallace, Jr. wins the 21 Means 21 Pole for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series American Ethanol 200 at Iowa Speedway with a speed of 137.279 mph.

This is the No. 54 Toyota Tundra driver's second career pole in 31 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races. This is his first pole and fifth top 10 start in nine NCWTS races this season.

On the final lap of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series-East Granite State 100 at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, No. 15 Nick Drake (the leader at the time) and No. 33 Brandon Jones were battling for the win.

Jones tried a pass from the bottom, got into Drake and both crashed. Drake, done for the day, was credited with a 24th place finish while Jones was able to complete the race in 21st place. No. 97 Chevrolet driver Jesse Little was able to get around the wreck and came away with his first career K&N Pro Series victory. No. 71 Eddie Macdonald finished in second place. No. 47 Cale Conley, No. 42 Jay Beasley and No. 29 Chad Finley rounded out the rest of the top five.

Matt Kenseth has the greatest average improvement at New Hampshire in the Cup series among active drivers entered this week. In 28 previous starts, he has advanced seven positions to finish 13.36.

He will need to use his skill at navigating traffic this week after qualifying only 15th. In this race last year he improved to ninth after starting 12th, so a top-10 could be questionable for the Joe Gibbs racer.

Kyle Busch wins the Coors Light Pole Award for the 22nd Annual Camping World RV Sales 301 with a track qualifying record lap of 27.574 seconds, 138.130 mph.

Ryan Newman held the previous track qualifying record (136.497 mph/27.904 seconds), set in September 2013. This is the 13th track qualifying record set in 2014. This is Busch's 15th pole in 348 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. It is the No. 18 Toyota Camry driver's second pole and eighth top-10 start in 2014. It is also his second pole in 19 races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Sprint Cup regular Brad Keselowski (No. 2 Ford Fusion) has the best 10-lap consecutive average speed in the Happy Hour practice for the Nationwide Series Sta-Green 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The average speed of 128.511 mph in the No. 22 Ford Mustang was best of the 8 cars that ran 10 consecutive laps on the track for this final practice session. No. 42 Kyle Larson (127.700 mph), No. 9 Chase Elliott (127.019 mph), No. 31 Dylan Kwasniewski (125.740 mph) and No. 62 Brendan Gaughan (125.298 mph) are the rest of the top five on this list.

Sprint Cup regular (No. 27 Chevrolet SS) Paul Menard tops the speed chart in the Happy Hour practice session for the Nationwide Series Sta-Green 200 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The No. 33 Chevrolet Camaro driver ran a fast lap of 130.595 mph. No. 54 Kyle Busch, No. 22 Brad Keselowski, No. 42 Kyle Larson and No. 6 Trevor Bayne round out the top five of the 41 cars out on the track. The No. 87 driven by Josh Reaume was the slowest in the final practice session.

The 71.480 mph lap was the best of the 20 cars out on the track. No. 22 Scott Steckly, No. 18 Alex Tagliani, No. 24 Stefan Rzadzinski and No. 84 J.R. Fitzpatrick are the rest of the top five and No. 57 Shania Laforce is the slowest in this final session.

Sprint Cup regular Ryan Newman wins the inaugural NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour non-points All-Star Shootout at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The race, scheduled for 40 laps with a 30-minute time limit, was shortened to 37 laps after a wreck involving series regulars Donny Lia and Patrick Emerling. The unofficial race results show Justin Bonsignore finishing in second place by a margin of just 0.151 seconds. Mike Stefanik, Ron Silk and Bobby Santos round out the rest of the top five.

Martin Truex Jr. entered last year’s Federated Auto Parts 400 at Richmond with a 10-race streak of sub-10th-place finishes on the short, flat tracks of New Hampshire, Phoenix, Richmond, and Martinsville. Since then, four of his last seven races on this track type ended in top-10s.

Truex also has a little momentum on his side with a 10th-place finish in this year’s Toyota Owners 400 in the most recent short, flat track race.
