Few details are available, including what the series will actually be called. Jimmie Johnson will be the final NASCAR Sprint Cup champion.

Jamie McMurray scored 12 top-10s in 2016, but only two of these were top-fives.

McMurray made the Chase based mostly on consistency, but he was unable to score a top-10 in the final 10 races of the season. His closest to that mark was an 11th at Chicagoland Speedway, but he remained a decent fantasy value most of the season with 29 top-20s (.806).

Brian Scott finished better than he started in his last eight Cup races despite announcing his retirement from driving.

With the weight of this decision off his shoulders, he seemed to improve. Scott came one position shy of winning his first Cup race as a Rookie of the Year contender when he finished second to Joey Logano at Talladega SuperSpeedway. His final race was also successful with a 15th in the Ford 400.
Dec 1 - 3:25 PM

Joey Gase made six starts in 2016 in the No. 32 Go Fas Racing ride and was running at the end of all of them

More importantly, Gase finished better than he started in five of those races, but his impact on fantasy rosters was minimized by the fact that his best finish of the season was only 32nd well back in March.
