Kyle Busch Motorsports announced that Toyota Care will be the primary sponsor on his No. 51 Tundra for 10 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races in 2013.

In just five seasons as a Toyota-powered driver, Busch has registered a remarkable 84 victories for the manufacturer across NASCAR's top three series, including their first-ever Sprint Cup victory at Atlanta in March of 2008. "I'll be starting the season off with a triple at Daytona, which gives me the opportunity to try and collect three milestone wins for Toyota -- their 100th Truck Series win on Friday night, their 75th Nationwide Series win on Saturday and their 50th Sprint Cup Series win on Sunday," said Busch, the only driver in NASCAR history to sweep its top three series at a single venue in the same weekend.-Kyle Busch Motorsports

Camping World Truck Series regular Erik Jones won the 21 Means 21 Pole Award for the Drive to Stop Diabetes 300 with a lap of 15.331 seconds, 125.158 mph.

He is the youngest NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) pole winner in Bristol Motor Speedway history (18 years, 10 months, 19 days). This is the No. 20 GameStop Toyota Camry driver's third pole in ten NXS races. It is his third pole and sixth top-10 NXS start in 2015 and his first pole in two races at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Kevin Harvick recorded the quickest 10-lap average in the final practice session for the Food City 500 with a speed of 125.934 mph from laps 35 through 44.

Harvick was seventh fastest in terms of single laps in that session, but he has been uniformly strong all weekend. He remains a favorite for Sunday and should keep his current top-10 streak alive at the very least.
Apr 18 - 12:43 PM

Jeff Gordon struggled through most of the weekend at Bristol with only the 13th fastest lap in Friday’s practice session, a qualification speed that landed him 23rd on the grid, and the 15th-fastest speed in Saturday morning’s session. In final practice, he finally jumped to the top of the board with the fourth-fastest single lap of speed at 126.420 mph.

Gordon’s time in final practice was 15.178 seconds and it appears that the race pace is coming back to the No. 24 more than that Gordon is catching the field. He should be able to finish in the top 10, but with such a bad pit stall fantasy owners should not expect much more.
Apr 18 - 12:32 PM

Kurt Busch posted the fastest single lap in final practice for the Food City 500. His top speed was 127.554 mph.

Busch was also strong (both fast and quick) in Saturday morning’s session and qualified well. He should be considered one of four or five favorites to win on Sunday.
Apr 18 - 12:27 PM

Kurt Busch posted the second-quickest 10-lap average in Saturday morning’s practice session for the Food City 500. His top speed was 125.158 mph in his first 10 laps on the track. He also had the fourth-fastest single lap of 126.088 during his fourth trip around the track.

Busch has five previous wins at Bristol and would like to visit Victory Lane once more. That will punch his ticket to the Chase and complete his return to racing.
Apr 18 - 11:02 AM

Kevin Harvick posted the quickest 10-lap average in the second practice session for the Food City 500 with a speed of 125.725 mph from laps two through 11.

Harvick also had the second-fastest single lap at 126.395 mph. He qualified fourth and has a great balance of early speed and durability. He is heavily favored to score his first Bristol top-five in the last 13 races on this track. His most recent triumph was a fourth in the 2008 Sharpie 500.
Apr 18 - 10:56 AM

Ryan Newman and the No. 31 team have decided to appeal again the penalty stemming from a tire doctoring issue at Auto Club Speedway. In their first appeal, heard by a three-man panel, their points’ deduction and monetary fines were reduced but the suspension upheld against crew chief Luke Lambert. Final Appeals Officer Bryan Moss will hear their arguments next week.

This will put Lambert back on top of the pit box at Bristol for the Food City 500 Supporting Steve Byrnes and Stand Up to Cancer. Newman qualified 18th for the race.
Apr 18 - 10:27 AM

Kasey Kahne posted the fastest single lap in the second practice session for the Food City 500 Supporting Steve Byrnes and Stand Up to Cancer. His top speed was 126.829 mph.

Kahne rolls off the grid eighth on Sunday. He is putting together a complete weekend and should be one of this week’s best values. He has struggled at times during 2015 and could be overlooked by the competition.
Apr 18 - 9:33 AM

Tony Stewart slapped the wall early in the second practice session for the Food City 500 Supporting Steve Byrnes and Stand Up to Cancer. The damage was probably not severe enough to give up his 21st-place qualification effort.

Stewart was one of many drivers who were much too loose to race. He still has at least one more practice session to get it right, but is looking like a risky fantasy proposition.
Apr 18 - 8:43 AM

David Ragan advanced to the top 12 in time trials for the first time in three weeks. He qualified 11th for the Food City 500 Supporting Steve Byrnes and Stand Up to Cancer at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The significance of this is that his last two finishing results ended in the top 15 even with modest qualification efforts. Those have been his best races of the season for Joe Gibbs Racing. His turnaround may actually have come at Auto Club Speedway, however, where he qualified third and was racing with the leaders before getting spun early.
Apr 17 - 9:46 PM

Greg Biffle spun after his first lap of qualification for the Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. NASCAR allowed him to put on a fresh pair of scuffed tires, but he could not overcome the mistake and will start Sunday’s race 33rd.

Bad luck and trouble continues for Roush-Fenway Racing. Until they reverse their fortune, fantasy players should avoid Biffle until his salary cap drops to a bargain level.
