Ryan Newman has one win (February 2008), three poles, three top-five finishes and four top-10s in 22 career Sprint Cup starts at the Daytona 2.5-mile superspeedway.

His best qualifying effort at Daytona was a second-place effort last July. Newman earned his first Daytona victory in the ARCA Series in 2001. He started 11th and led 12 laps en route to his first win in his first-ever start at the superspeedway. Three years later, Newman won the season-opening IROC race at Daytona in February 2004. He started on the pole and led five laps during the 40-lap event to claim his first and only win in IROC. It was four seasons later, in 2008, when Newman scored the biggest victory of his racing career by winning the 50th Daytona 500.-True Speed Communication
