Bandit will be a co-primary sponsor for three races and an associate sponsor for two races. Sam Hornish Jr. has been remarkably good on plate tracks this year considering that he missed the entire 2013 and 2014 seasons on this course type. He finished 12th in the Daytona 500 and was sixth in the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway.

Hornish is liable to go unnoticed this week, but anyone who had him on their roster at Sonoma Raceway will want to roll the dice and keep him activated; he could be this week’s top sleeper and earn back-to-back top-10s for the first time in his career.

AJ Allmendinger has suffered crash damage in 10 of the 12 races he started at Daytona International Speedway during his career, including his last five consecutively.

Allmendinger managed to stay on the lead lap in this year’s Daytona 500 to finish 20th, but he was not as lucky last summer with a 43rd-place result following a lap-19 crash. His odds of earning another top-20 are only 50/50.

Josh Wise failed to race his way into this year’s Daytona 500, but he has been a good bargain in his last three attempts at Daytona International Speedway with results ranging from 23rd to 25th.

Wise with the No. 98 team has been a solid dark horse on occasion, but he lacks predictability. While no one is immune to trouble at Daytona, these consistent finishes make him a good choice in salary cap leagues.

The iconic 'rainbow paint scheme' will appear on Jeff Gordon's No. 24 Axalta Chevrolet SS one last time under the lights at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Bristol, Tennessee.

Gordon has five wins at the famed half-mile track referred to as, "The Last Great Coliseum." Four of Gordon's wins were in the colorful rainbow paint scheme designed by legendary, motorsports artist, Sam Bass. "Ever since it was announced this year was my final season, the fans have been vocal on social media wanting us to run it again. Thanks to Axalta for allowing that to happen." said Gordon.-Axalta Coating Systems

Chris Eggleston finished 13th in Saturday night's NASCAR K&N Pro Series-West race at California's Sonoma Raceway.

He started the No. 99 NAPA Filters/H20 Fire Protection Toyota 17th on the grid for the Carneros 200. He completed all laps of the 68-lap race. He continues as the points leader in the 2015 NASCAR K&N Pro Series West point standings after this event, leading Noah Gragson by nine points.

Ruben Garcia Jr. was out front nearly all Sunday at El Dorado Speedway en route to his second career NASCAR Mexico Series victory.

The 19-year-old NASCAR Next driver qualified second in his No. 88 Canel’s/Scotiabank/HDI Toyota for the Coca-Cola Zero 240, which concluded at 232 laps upon reaching the two-hour time limit. Garcia held off a number of late challengers, including championship points leader Irwin Vences. Vences settled for second and remains nine points ahead of Ruben Pardo, who finished third. Rodrigo Peralta and Luis Felipe Montano finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Grant Enfinger finished second in Sunday's ARCA Racing Series race at Indiana's Winchester Speedway.

He started the No. 23 GMS Racing Chevrolet third in the lineup for the Herr's Chase the Taste 200. He led 34 laps of the 200-lap event. Enfinger continues as the points leader in the 2015 ARCA Racing Series Championship standings. He leads Josh Williams (finished seventh in the race) by 115 points.

Sam Hornish Jr. scored his second top-10 of the season with a 10th at Sonoma Raceway in the Toyota / Save Mart 350. His previous top-10 was a sixth earned in the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway.

Both of these strong runs came on wild card tracks, but they are worth noting. Next week the series rolls into Daytona for the Coke Zero 400. Hornish could be an interesting sleeper pick for that event.
Jun 28 - 8:32 PM

Ryan Newman snapped a four-race streak of finishes outside the top 10 when he crossed under the checkers ninth in the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway.

Newman has not earned a top-five in his last eight races of the season, however, and he sits 16th in the standings. With Kyle Busch’s victory, the No. 18 driver could dislodge one of the top 16 points’ earners if he manages to climb into the top 30 in the standings and that should create a sense of urgency for drivers on the bubble.
