Scott Steckly finished seventh in Sunday's NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Clarington 200 at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario.

He started sixth on the grid and completed all laps of the 51-lap event. Steckly continues as the points leader in the 2015 Canadian Tire Series championship standings after this event. He leads second-place Jason Hathaway, who won the race, by nine points.

William Byron (No. 9 Liberty University Chevrolet) scores a 10th place finish in Saturday's NASCAR K&N Pro Series-East Biscuitville 125 at VIRginia International Raceway in Alton, VA.

He started seventh in the lineup and completed all laps of the 61-laps run. Byron maintains his position as the leader in the 2015 K&N Pro Series-East point standings after this event by 15 points over second-place Scott Heckert (finished 15th in the race).

Irwin Vences collected his third win of the season and strengthened his hold on the top spot in the NASCAR Mexico Series standings Sunday at Autódromo Miguel E. Abed.

The victory in the Amozoc 240 was Vences' second straight; he picked up the win July 12 at San Luis Potosi. He also won the May 31 race at Puebla. Vences' No. 46 Axtel/Avaya/M Racing Ford out-distanced his teammate Homero Richards by 1.874 seconds on the 2.01 km (1.25 mile) oval. Richards had won the pole position earlier in the day. Rubén Rovelo finished third, followed by Rogelio López and José Luis Ramírez.

Ryan Preece (No. 6 TS Haulers/East West Marine Chevrolet) finished eighth in Saturday night's NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Riverhead 200 at Riverhead (NY) Raceway.

He started 12th in the lineup and completed all laps of the 200-lap race. He retains the lead in the 2015 Whelen Modified championship standings after the event. He leads Woody Pitkat by one point after the 12th race of the 16-race season.

Jason Hathaway has raced in every event in NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. He's been a race winner and a championship contender.

After Sunday's race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, he can add highlight to his résumé: Road-course winner. Hathaway, a self-professed "oval guy" held off road-course aces L.P. Dumoulin and Jeff Lapcevich following a late-race restart to win the Pinty's presents the Clarington 200. This moved the 38-year-old from St. Thomas, Ontario, to second in the championship standings heading into the season finale at Kawartha Speedway on Sept. 19.

Erik Jones (No. 4 Toyota Tundra) won the Chevrolet Silverado 250, his sixth victory in 32 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races.

This is his second victory and 12th top-10 finish in 2015. It is his first victory and second top-10 finish in two races at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario. With the victory, Jones takes over the lead in 2015 NCWTS championship standings. He leads Matt Crafton by three points.

Justin Bonsignore joined elite company Saturday night when he drove to a NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season sweep of events at Riverhead Raceway.

Bonsignore grabbed the lead from Doug Coby on Lap 115 and held on through six caution restarts to take down a third career victory at his home track, and second in two tries in 2015. In the process he became just the fifth driver in 31 years of Whelen Modified Tour racing to sweep a season at the venerable Long Island bullring. Coby and his No. 2 Dunleavy’s Repair/A&J Romano Construction Chevrolet finished second, while rookie Chase Dowling, Donny Lia and Eric Goodale rounded out the top-five.

Chase Elliott (No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts Chevrolet Camaro) finished fourth in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series Road America 180 at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.

He started second on the grid and completed all laps of the 45-lap race. Elliott, who also won the 3M Lap Leader contingency award for his race-high 23 laps led, gained one spot to second in the 2015 XFINITY Series championship standings, 16 points behind leader Chris Buescher.

A lengthy caution period at the end of Saturday’s NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Road America left little time for Roush Fenway Racing’s Chris Buescher to charge through the field after an array of pit strategies during the 45-Lap race.

Buescher would ultimately crack the top-10, finishing ninth in his No. 60 Fastenal Ford Mustang. With the result, Buescher holds a 16 point leader over Chase Elliott in the NASCAR XFINITY Series point standings as the series travels to Darlington Raceway, one of Buescher’s favorite tracks.-Roush Fenway Racing

Sometimes it’s good to be at the right place at the right time and that was true for Sergio Pena Saturday in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Biscuitville 125 at Virginia International Raceway.

Pena driving the No. 42 Special Smiles Pediatric Dentistry Toyota for REV Racing, took advantage of a couple of cars going off course during the final green-white-checkered attempt to collect his fifth career win. With the 22-year-old Westminster, Virginia, native’s win, REV Racing has won at least one victory in six consecutive K&N East seasons dating back to 2010.

Andrew Ranger broke his own track record as he collected his second pole of the season Saturday in qualifying for Sunday's Pinty's presents the Clarington 2000 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.

It is Ranger's 17th career pole in the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1. Ranger's No. 27 Mopar/Pennzoil Dodge posted a lap of 82.807 seconds (106.904 mph) around the 2.459-mile, 10-turn road course. He will start on the front row alongside rookie Kevin Lacroix. Lacroix had a lap of 83.094 (106.535).
