Jamie McMurray’s crew chief Matt McCall has been place on probation through December 31st after receiving a P2 penalty from NASCAR. The punishment was for modifying the right rear quarter panel opening after qualifying inspection for the Coke 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Jimmie Johnson and Justin Allgaier have received P1 penalties from NASCAR for taking too many passes through the inspection line during the All-star and Coke 600 weekends. No matter how well they qualify at Dover International Speedway for the FedEx 400, they will have the last two pit stall selections.
