Blake Koch's last performance at a 1.5-mile track was at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he took the checkered flag in 21st place.

Having learned several lessons since his first outing, Koch is ready to demonstrate the improvements his team has made to its program since March in Friday's O'Reilly Auto Parts 300. He has two top-25s in four Nationwide Series starts at Texas. His best finish is 22nd place, which came in 2011. SR2 Motorsports' best finish at Texas came last season with David Starr behind the wheel. He piloted the No. 24 Toyota to a 23rd-place finish.-Breaking Limits

Trevor Bayne was in a position to win the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway in the closing laps, but he got shuffled from the draft and finished 10th.

He led 22 laps near the end of the show, however, and banked some points for his fantasy players. More importantly, this is his second top-10 in the last three races and his worst result in the past four was a 17th at Richmond. That makes him fantasy relevant heading to a track type that was once very kind to Roush-Fenway Racing.

Ryan Blaney earned his third top-10 of the season in the 10th race of 2016. He finished ninth after starting the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway 19th.

Blaney has been lagging behind fellow rookie Chase Elliott and did so again this week. Elliott finished fifth, but that has not made Blaney a bad value. He is less expensive in most salary cap games and proved that he is capable of running with the leaders when he stays out of trouble.
May 1 - 6:42 PM

Kurt Busch has finished 12th or better in his last four Talladega SuperSpeedway races. This week he was eighth after starting the Geico 500 18th.

While Busch has been a good value, he has rarely been a great one. It has now been 19 races (or a decade) since he last finished among the top five on this track. Busch is still seeking his first restrictor-plate, superspeedway win.
May 1 - 6:40 PM

Clint Bowyer finished seventh in the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway after starting 34th. This is his fifth top-10 finish in his last six starts on this track.

Notably, it is also his second top-10 of the season after finishing eighth at Bristol Motor Speedway. It is too soon to form a bandwagon for the driver and team, but momentum has been gained with less success.
May 1 - 6:39 PM

Officially Tony Stewart finished sixth after starting 14th in the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway, but Ty Dillon ran all of the practice, qualified the car, and ran most of the race. Stewart will be credited with the finish in the points and all fantasy games, however, since he started the No. 14 Chevrolet.

Notably, the only mistake made by this team all afternoon was by Stewart in the pits. He was too fast exiting during a green flag stop, which cost the No. 14 a lap to the leaders. He was given the Free Pass on the first caution of the day, made the driver change to Dillon, and allowed the part time driver plenty of time to make up for lost time.
May 1 - 6:37 PM

Chase Elliott had a rollercoaster day at Talladega SuperSpeedway. He lead 27 laps early in the Geico 500, struggled on two of the final three restarts, but surged on the final lap to finish fifth.

This was an impressive rebound for Elliott after crashing early in the Daytona 500. Notably, he was one of only a few drivers who got to the end of the Geico 500 without crash damage and that played a huge role in his success.
May 1 - 5:32 PM

Jamie McMurray won the fall 2013 race at Talladega SuperSpeedway and then finished outside the top 10 in his next four races. Three of these disappointments were outside the top 25, but he rebounded in the Geico 500 to finish fourth.

McMurray was at the eye of several storms, but he survived with minimal damage. At Talladega driver have to be both lucky and good.
May 1 - 5:28 PM

Austin Dillon was one of 33 drivers impacted by some form of crash damage in the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway, but after getting a Free Pass, he drafted to third on the final lap and finished there. He lost one place-differential point after starting on the outside of the front row.

This was Dillon’s first top-10 at Talladega, but he was still considered a favorite because he has three top-15s in the previous six attempts.
May 1 - 5:24 PM

When Dale Earnhardt Jr. spun into Kasey Kahne and Michael Annett, he was the first driver to wreck, but was far from the last. By the end of the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway, 87.5 percent of the field had been impacted by crash damage.

This was one of the most chaotic races at Talladega fantasy owners have seen in quite some while. Winning one’s league this week required a lot of luck.
May 1 - 5:05 PM

Kyle Busch finished second in the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway.

This was Busch’s fourth top-five in the past eight races on this track. Two of his remaining results were just outside the top 10, but his other pair of performances wound up outside the top 35.
May 1 - 5:00 PM

In a race that was marred by several "Big One" crashes—including one that impacted more than half the field—Brad Keselowski was leading the Geico 500 at Talladega SuperSpeedway when the final caution waved on the white flag lap.

Keselowski had a huge lead when the final accident froze the field so he was heading to Victory Lane either way. This is his fourth win on this track and his second in the past four races. He also won in fall 2014.
