Marcos Ambrose hopes to best his career-best finish of fifth at the Richmond and collect the team's first top-five of the season.

He will wheel the No. 9 DEWALT Ford in his ninth start at the .75-mile track this weekend. In the past three weekends, he qualified second, fourth and 15th. He finished eighth at Martinsville, but then was caught up in two accidents the past two weekends after running in the top-10. A car capable of winning, Ambrose is just looking for better luck this weekend.-Breaking Limits

Carl Edwards posted the fastest lap in the final session of qualification. After posting a speed of 95.777 mph, he will lead the field to green on Sunday at Sonoma Raceway for the Toyota / Save Mart 350.

This is Edwards’ first front row start. Previously, he started on the second row in back-to-back race in 2013/2014. He finished top-three in both races; in fact, he won in 2014.

Jimmie Johnson posted a lap that was good enough for only 15th on the Toyota / Save Mart 350 field at Sonoma Raceway. This is the fourth consecutive year that he will start 13th or worse.

Despite modest qualification, Johnson has finished in the top 10 in the past three years. In fact, he has a seven-race, top-10 streak going, but he will have to run an error-free race to keep that intact.
Jun 25 - 3:01 PM

Dale Earnhardt Jr. was fastest in final practice for the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, but he knew several drivers had faster cars than they showed. As it turned out, 12 cars were faster. Junior qualified 13th with a lap of 95.329 mph.

Even though Earnhardt failed to advance to the final round, this will be his best starting position while racing for Hendrick Motorsports. Two years ago he started 17th and finished third; last year he advanced from 20th to seventh. His previous best starting position was 15th in his first attempt in the No. 88 in 2008.
Jun 25 - 2:56 PM

Jamie McMurray posted the second fastest lap in the first practice session for the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway, but he could not back it up on pole day. His lap of 94.712 mph was good enough for only 21st on the grid.

Many considered McMurray to be one of the favorites to win the pole this week because he did just that in 2013 and 2014. Last year, he started mid-pack in 18th, however, and almost cracked the top 10.
Jun 25 - 2:52 PM

Cody Ware was the slowest of 41 drivers who took time in qualification for the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway and as one of the open teams, he will make the long drive back to North Carolina.

Ware was attempting to make his first NASCAR Cup start, so this is not a huge surprise. If he was your dark horse of choice, make the switch to Dylan Lupton or Cole Whitt.

Daniel Hemric (#19 Draw-Tite Ford F-150) had the best 10-lap consecutive average speed in final NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice at the Gateway Motorsports Park leading up to the Drivin’ for Linemen 200.

The average speed of 132.758 mph was best of the 12 trucks that ran 10 consecutive laps on the track for this session. #8 John Hunter Nemechek, #9 William Byron, #23 Spencer Gallagher and #29 Tyler Reddick are the rest of the top five on this list.
Jun 25 - 1:37 PM

Ben Rhodes (#41 Alpha Energy Solutions Toyota Tundra) led the final NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice session at Gateway Motorsports Park.

Rhodes, who also led the first practice earlier today, ran a quick lap of 135.755 mph in this session. #21 Johnny Sauter, #8 John H. Nemechek, #11 German Quiroga and #81 Ryan Truex round out the top five of the 31 trucks practicing for the Drivin’ for Linemen 200. Caleb Roark in the #10 Chevrolet Silverado was the slowest.
Jun 25 - 1:32 PM

Chase Briscoe (#77 Big Tine Ford) led the first practice for the ARCA Racing Series Herr’s Potato Chips 200 at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Indiana.

The lap of 110.592 mph was the quickest of the 19 cars out on the track for the first practice session. #22 Will Kimmel, #55 Dalton Sargeant, #98 Kyle Weatherman and #27 A.J. Fike are the rest of the top five on the speed chart. #64 Chevrolet driver Mike Seneca was the slowest.

It was finish that left the fans on their feet for the final 25 laps and long-time observers of the NASCAR Pinty's Series calling it one of the best races in the series' 10-year history.

In the end of Friday night's CRS Express 300 at Autodrome Chaudiere in Quebec, it was 23-year-old Alex Labbe celebrating his first career win in front of his hometown crowd and 16-year-old Cayden Lapcevich with a second straight impressive runner-up finish. They ran side-by-side for the final 10 laps, swapping the lead by a nose at the line. Labbe took the point with three to go and only a slip-up in Turn 4 of the final lap prevented a last-lap bump-and-run attempt by Lapcevich. Final margin of victory was .331 seconds.
Jun 25 - 11:42 AM

Ben Rhodes (#41 Alpha Energy Solutions Toyota Tundra) led the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice session at Gateway Motorsports Park.

He ran a quick lap of 135.738 mph. #9 William Byron, #00 Cole Custer, #81 Ryan Truex and #21 Johnny Sauter round out the top five of the 30 trucks practicing for the Drivin’ for Linemen 200. Enrique Contreras in the #71 Chevrolet Silverado was the slowest.
Jun 25 - 11:34 AM

Dale Earnhardt Jr. posted the fastest single lap in the final practice session for the Toyota / Save Mart 350 at Sonoma Raceway. His best lap was set at 95.298 mph.

Earnhardt has not qualified better than 15th since joining Hendrick Motorsports, but he scored back-to-back top-10 finishes in 2014/2015. If he starts up front this week, he should be considered a favorite to maintain that track position in race trim.
