Born with spina bifida, Samuel Sawyer overcomes adversity each day and inspires all around him, including his father, Mike, who has served in the Navy for over 25 years. Friday, Eckrich and Richard Petty Motorsports honored the family and Samuel with an unexpected gift at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Samuel, 11, was surprised by "The King" Richard Petty and Aric Almirola, with a custom-made power wheelchair designed like the No. 43 paint scheme that Almirola will race this weekend. The chair was Petty blue and Eckrich green with the famous No. 43 on the back of the chair, giving Samuel the most unique and fastest power wheelchair available.-Breaking Limits

Sprint Cup regular Kyle Busch revved up the crowd Friday, passing John Hunter Nemechek on the final turn of the final lap to win the ARCA/CRA Super Series race at Lucas Oil Raceway.

Busch led briefly early in the race, then followed Nemechek for most of the race. He was right on his bumper for about 20 laps before overtaking him at the end, winning the Circle City 100 presented by JEGS.com. Nemechek, the son of NASCAR veteran Joe Nemechek, said it was a tough race to lose. "It sucks to lose it when I led so many laps, but if I had to lose it to someone, I guess that’s the guy you want to lose to," Nemechek said. Busch drove it hard into the final turn and just had enough of a run to get under the youngster. After that, it was a drag race to the finish line, with Busch beating him by 0.024 seconds.-ARCA Racing News

When Aric Almirola was racing part time schedules in relief of Mark Martin, Indianapolis Motor Speedway was not a track he got to race. He will make only his third start on this track on Sunday.

Almirola’s record is brief but shows promise as a mid-level pick. He finished 19th in 2012 and was 17th last year. If he can continue to show a little progress, he could earn a top-15 finish this week.

Kurt Busch will compete in chassis 760 this Sunday. Its lone previous start came at Kansas two months ago.

Busch qualified well in sixth and ran in the top five for a while in that race until the car developed a loose condition that caused him to drop back to 29th. Practice makes perfect and this team should have some notes that will allow them to make more proper adjustments for Sunday’s Crown Royal 400.

Juan Pablo Montoya will make his second 2014 start of the season on a track he has always enjoyed. He finished second there in his inaugural attempt and was ninth last year with Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing.

His results have not always matched his effort, such as in 2009 when he was en route to Victory Lane before being assessed a penalty in the pits or the following year when he crashed after earning the pole. Montoya will need to stay out of trouble, but he provides one of the best values in salary cap and pick ‘em games because of his limited starts.

Greg Biffle entered last year’s Crown Royal 400 with a five-race top-10 streak in which he had an average finish of fifth. He faded to 24th on this track amidst a mostly disappointing season.

This year has not been going much better for the 12-year veteran. The last time he finished outside of the 10th-place mark at Indy, he struggled through three seasons before regaining his form. Fantasy players will want to take a wait-and-see approach.
