Busch’s lap of 190.127 mph in the No. 18 Toyota Camry was the quickest of the 19 cars out on the track for the final practice leading to Saturday night’s non-points race. No. 78 Kurt Busch, No. 20 Matt Kenseth, No. 2 Brad Keselowski and No. 16 Greg Biffle were the rest of the top five on the speed chart. No. 34 David Ragan, at 182.359 mph, was the slowest in this session.

With a speed of 196.95, Darrell Wallace Jr. topped the speed chart in final practice for the Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway.

Wallace performed very well in his Gatorade 150 qualification race. The last time he raced at Daytona in July, he finished in the top 15. Combine those two factors with a reasonable salary cap, and Wallace is going to be one of this week's top fantasy values.

Johnny Sauter (No. 21 Allegiant Airlines Chevrolet Silverado) won the season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250, his 18th victory in 222 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) races.

This is his third victory and fifth top-10 finish in ten NCWTS races at Daytona International Speedway (DIS). Sauter now leads the series in wins at Daytona. Justin Haley (second) posted his first top-10 finish in his first start at DIS. Joe Nemechek (third) posted his third top-10 finish in four races at DIS. Dalton Sargeant (eighth) was the highest finishing Rookie of the Year contender. Johnny Sauter leads the point standings by 19 points over Justin Haley.
