Mike Wallace has logged more than 3,000 miles of racing on Michigan International Speedway’s two-mile surface.

He probably knows the track as well as any other NASCAR racer. In Saturday’s Alliance Truck Parts 250, Wallace will be shooting to improve his standing of 17th in the Nationwide Series point standings on one of the fastest tracks in NASCAR. The veteran Missouri driver has one top-10 finish in 14 Nationwide races at Michigan.

After securing his second victory for the Biagi DenBeste Racing team at Talladega Superspeedway, co-owners Bill and Lori DenBeste asked driver Aric Almirola what his favorite color was.

After answering that it was is red, Almirola didn't think anything of it. Little did he know that he would receive a classic Shelby to celebrate his wins. The DenBestes gifted Almirola a 1965 Shelby 427 Cobra CSX 6086, black with a red stripe. The DenBestes are owners of the world's largest Cobra dealership, DenBeste Motorsports. With the world's largest inventory of Shelby Cobras, picking out Almirola's car was as easy as going to their shop based in Windsor, Calif.

Ben Rhodes (No. 27 Safelite AutoGlass Toyota Tundra) has one start at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

The ThorSport Racing driver started fifth, and finished 15th in 2016. Rhodes clinched his first Playoff berth following a sixth-place finish at Chicagoland Speedway. He enters the championship battle ranked eighth on the Playoff grid. Truck Series Stats... Doug Coby (No. 2 Mayhew Tools Chevrolet) the four-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion enters New Hampshire Motor Speedway second in the points lead, six from the top.

In the spring, Coby was running inside the top five late, but ended up finishing 11th. In 28 career NHMS starts, Coby has four wins, 11 top fives and 16 top 10s, along with three Coors Light Pole Awards. Has failed to finish five races at NHMS, but has finished inside the top three in five of his last seven Loudon starts.

Cody Coughlin (No. 13 JEGS Toyota Tundra) has one start at the 1.058-mile New Hampshire Motor Speedway (2016). The JEGS driver started 16th, led the 32-truck field for three laps, and finished 20th.

He is seeded fifth entering the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series playoff race this weekend at New Hampshire, 31 points behind leader Christopher Bell. Leavine Family Racing (LFR) has announced that Kasey Kahne will pilot the No. 95 Chevrolet Camaro for the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) season.

Kahne, who has driven for Hendrick Motorsports since 2012, has signed on to be LFR’s primary driver for the 2018 season. LFR has recorded impressive finishes as a single-car team during the 2017 MENCS season and feels that Kahne, winner of the Brickyard 400 in 2017, would not only be a top driver for the team in the MENCS series in 2018, but also be instrumental in assisting the team to attract new sponsorship in the future.-LFR

This past Saturday was a dark day for the sport of auto racing when racing icon Ted Christopher lost his life in an aviation accident while en route to Riverhead Raceway on Long Island.

That night the race went on and now the tour is ready to move forward to New Hampshire Motor Speedway for the F.W. Webb 100 on Saturday. Rejoining the fray will be the Watts-owned team, who are set on moving forward in the true Ted Christopher spirit. Taking the wheel of the No. 82 is none other than Christopher’s friend and one of many on-track rivals, Woody Pitkat. Like Christopher, Pitkat is a Connecticut born driver who calls Stafford Motor Speedway his home track, with Christopher and Pitkat sitting one and two respectively on the all-time win’s list at that track.

Saturday’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway marks T.J. Bell’s sixth start at the one-mile track.

His most recent start at the track came in 2014, while his best finish of 10th came in 2008. In addition to his NCWTS starts at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, the No. 45 Chevrolet Silverado driver has two NASCAR XFINITY Series starts in Loudon, with his most recent coming last season.-Niece Motorsports

Adam Martin has clinched the Jostens Rookie of the Year race and will now concentrate on getting his first NASCAR Pinty's Series (NPS) win in the season finale Pinty's Fall Brawl 200 at Jukasa Motor Speedway in Hagersville, Ontario.

The Ayr, Ontario driver outdistanced fellow rookie drivers Donald Theetge, Armani Williams and several others in winning the prestigious honor. Martin is the only rookie contender to start all 12 races this season with four top-10 finishes.-NPS
