Nelson Piquet Jr. is no stranger to success at the 4.048-mile, 14-turn Road America road course.

He captured the pole and led a total of 19 laps en route to his first NNS victory in his only start at the famed Wisconsin road course. The No. 30 Qualcomm team will have chassis TSM-300 for Saturday afternoon's race at Road America. TSM-300 is the same chassis Piquet Jr. won with in last year's race at the Elkhart Lake, WI track.-Turner Scott Motorsports

Ryan Blaney won the second stage of the Daytona 500 and will add one bonus point to he playoff total if he qualifies for the post-season.

Blaney was ahead of the lap-102 carnage and survived the stage. He also added 10 points to his season total and the little differences often impact drivers at the end of the regular season.

Danica Patrick was involved in a lap 102 crash in the Daytona 500 to end her NASCAR Monster Energy Cup career in the garage.

Her last credited result will be 35th, but her legacy will live on if another female driver is able to step into the top series.

Brad Keselowski spun Chase Elliott with 17 laps remaining in stage two in the Daytona 500

Elliott collected several other drivers including David Ragan and Danica Patrick in her last NASCAR Cup run. Keselowski looked to escape the carnage he started until he was clipped by Kevin Harvick - doing heavy damage to both.

After getting collected in a Big One Crash on lap 59 of the Daytona 500, Jimmie Johnson retired in 38th with his third crashed car of the weekend.

Sometimes it just isn't your weekend. Johnson crashed in last Sunday's Clash and also on Thursday in his Gatorade Duel in Daytona. Because of his luck, he was listed as a driver to avoid this week. He will reload and head to Atlanta Motor Speedway and he is a master of the Cookie Cutter courses.

Kurt Busch won the first stage of the Daytona 500. He was alone in the lead when a six-car accident erupted behind him.

Like everyone else in the field, Busch learned a lesson from Martin Truex Jr. last year. His 19 stage wins in 2017 helped him enter the playoffs with a massive points' lead.

Erik Jones was forced to check up for a wiggly Ricky Stenhouse Jr. at the end of the first stage of the Daytona 500 and when he did, he was run into from behind by Jimmie Johnson.

Stenhouse was sent up the track by Ryan Blaney and did a great job of saving his car. Jones was forced to slow for him, however, and that triggered a Big One crash that collected six cars including Jones and Johnson. Daniel Suarez, William Byron, Kyle Larson, and Ty Dillon were also involved.

On lap 50 of the Daytona 500, Kyle Busch cut a left rear tire and crashed. It was his second cut tire on that corner of the car.

Busch first cut a tire on lap 30. This hardship came on the heels of a penalty for his teammate Denny Hamlin for pitting outside the box. This has not been a good start for Joe Gibbs Racing.

Jordan Anderson (No. 3 Jacob Companies/Bommarito.com Toyota Tundra) finished 9th in Friday night's NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona Int'l Speedway.

He started 28th in the lineup, led 1 lap and completed all laps of the 100-lap race. Anderson opens the season 9th in the 2018 NCWTS driver championship standings.

Cole Custer (No. 00 Haas Automation Ford) finished 14th in Saturday's NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) season-opening PowerShares QQQ 300 at Florida's Daytona Int'l Speedway.

He started 14th in the lineup and completed all of the 143 laps run. Custer opens the season 12th in the 2018 NXS driver championship standings.

Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) announces that Kyle Benjamin will pilot the No. 18 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Toyota Camry for two races throughout the 2018 season.

Benjamin will run the Rinnai 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway on February 24th, and the U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway on July 28th. PEAK Antifreeze & Coolant has been named the primary sponsor for Benjamin on the No. 18 Camry in Atlanta. He competed in five races for JGR during the 2017 NXS season. In his first season with JGR, he recorded poles at both Pocono Raceway and Kentucky Speedway. He recorded his best finish of second at Iowa Speedway. Benjamin's 1.6-place average starting position ranked as the best in the NXS among drivers with multiple starts.-ESPN

He started 10th in the lineup and completed 99 laps of the 100-lap race. Coughlin opens the season 10th in the 2018 NCWTS driver championship standings.
