For the first time this season Mike Bliss will team up with Tweaker Energy Shot for Friday night’s Nationwide Series race at Daytona.

Under the lights, the No. 19 Tweaker Energy Shot Toyota Camry will take the green flag for 250 laps around Florida’s fastest 2.5-mile track. Based out of Dallas, Texas, Tweaker Energy Shot will not only be on Bliss’ #19 Camry at Daytona; they will partner with Bliss at Indianapolis on July 27th, Bristol on August 23rd, Texas on November 2nd and Phoenix on November 9th.

Kyle Busch finished just well enough to advance to the next round of the playoffs after finishing 10th in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Busch’s advancement was helped by a blown engine for Kyle Larson early in the race. He crashed in back-to-back races and needed a little luck on his side. Now he has the full benefit of his 42 bonus points.

Aric Almirola scored his first top-10 on an unrestricted, intermediate speedway since he returned from injury 12 races ago. He was ninth in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.

That comes on the heels of a fifth at Talladega SuperSpeedway and even though the two tracks are very dissimilar, it might create some momentum for the embattled driver. Prior to ‘Dega, he had an average of 23.4.

Just before the start of the Kansas 150 Friday at Kansas Speedway, 2017 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards national champions, driver Austin Theriault and car owner Ken Schrader, shared their thoughts on their success with the media during a press conference in the media center.

It was a 'dream-season' for both…the Concord, North Carolina-based Ken Schrader Racing (KSR) team cleaned up with 7 wins on the season, the General Tire Superspeedway title, the Sioux Chief Short Track Challenge championship and more. It was Schrader's second ARCA car owner championship while it was Theriault's first. Crew Chief Donnie Richeson also earned the Cometic Crew Chief of the Year honors.

Kevin Harvick had a solid showing in the second round of the playoffs with a pair of top-10s in the past three races.

Harvick finished eighth in the Hollywood Casino 400 and was third at Charlotte Motor Speedway to start this round. He has been incredibly strong at Phoenix International Raceway in the past and now should also be considered a threat at Texas Motor Speedway on the next similarly-configured, 1.5-mile track.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished seventh in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway after starting 19th.

That was Earnhardt’s fourth consecutive top-15 and his third top-10 in the past four races. With the pressure of his final season off his back, he is going to be a solid mid-pack value for the final four races.

Chris Buescher scored his first top 10 in the past 10 races when he crossed under the checkers sixth in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Buescher’s last top-10 came on another unrestricted, intermediate speedways with a sixth at Michigan International Speedway. It is unlikely that he was on many rosters and that made him a great differentiator for his owners.

Denny Hamlin finished fifth in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Hamlin had a solid run green to checkers. He finished third in stage one and won stage two to add a bonus point to his ongoing total. As the points reset, he is only three points outside to fourth as the focus shifts to a round that had two short flat tracks in the next three races.

Chase Elliott finished fourth in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, which was his fourth top-five in the past six races.

Elliott is now seeded last among eight playoff drivers because he does not have very many bonus points. That could prove to be the difference between making the final round and missing out, but he is going to continue to be one of the top values as he tries to keep his consistency intact.

Ryan Blaney finished third in the Hollywood Casino in Kansas Speedway after starting 40th.

That means he added 37 place differential points to his total and as predicted he was one of the best values in the game. Blaney advanced to round three of the playoffs with this run.

Kurt Busch finished second in the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway after starting 15th.

That was Busch’s first top-five of the playoffs and he has an average finish of about 25th. He ended the regular season with three consecutive strong runs and might be on the rebound.

Martin Truex Jr. added five more bonus points to his total after winning the Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway.

Truex’s mission continues. He is out to prove that he could win the championship under any set of rules and with his dominated performance one would be hard-pressed to argue the point. He n ow has 69 bonus points compared to 42 for Kyle Busch.
