Points leader Dylan Kwasniewski captured his first 21 Means 21 Pole Award presented by Coors Brewing Co. in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Saturday at Columbus Motor Speedway.

The No. 98 Chevrolet driver had a lap of 14.351 seconds (83.534 mph) around the .333-mile oval in qualifying for Saturday night's NAPA Auto Parts 150. Kwasniewski had seven poles over two years in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West, and this is his first year competing full-time in the East.-NASCAR PR

Jeff Gordon spent only about 35 laps inside the top 10 at Dover from the 400 that made up the distance, but he made them count. He was running 11th and had just lost a lap to the leaders when a caution waved on lap 377. With only a few drivers left on the lead lap, he gained one more spot to finish 10th.

This pattern has been a little unsettling and difficult for fantasy owners to account. Gordon needs a strong race from start to finish in order to become a favorite again, but the good news is that the series rolls onto Pocono Raceway next week. That is one of his favorite tracks.

Clint Bowyer entered the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover International Speedway with the longest active streak of top-10s. He finished ninth on Sunday and extended that streak to nine consecutive races.

During that streak, he has an average finish of 7.3, which will make him a favorite again when the series rolls back into Delaware during the Chase.
May 31 - 10:12 PM

Paul Menard finished eighth in the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover International Speedway, which was his sixth consecutive top-20 finish. He has one top-five and two top-10s in that span of races.

Menard is rarely the anchor for one’s roster, but he is unlikely to cost players a lot of points. This makes him a great utility pick for the final slot until his results begin to slip.
May 31 - 8:53 PM

Chip Ganassi Racing placed both of their drivers in the top 10 with Jamie McMurray finishing seventh and Kyle Larson crossing under the checkers third in the FedEx 400 at Dover International Speedway.

CGR ended the 2014 season as one of the most effective teams and challenged the Chase drivers regularly. Fantasy players have been waiting for their resurgence and this could be a preview of things to come.
May 31 - 8:53 PM

It was another race-winning run, but ultimately disappointing result for Martin Truex Jr. at Dover International Speedway. He led the most laps with 131, but ultimately picked the wrong strategy at the end of the FedEx 400 before slipping to sixth in the final order.

With a strong ride and four fresh tires, his strategy seemed safe, but he got caught in traffic on the narrow track and could not get around the first two rows of cars on a late-race restart. Truex is still earning a lot of fantasy points, so owners cannot be too disappointed.
May 31 - 7:02 PM

Aric Almirola has been flirting with the top 10 most of the season and finally broke that barrier in convincing fashion at Dover International Speedway. He finished fifth in the FedEx 400 after starting 23rd.

It is fitting that he ran so well at Dover because his first start on the track produced a sixth in 2012. Almirola has been one of the most consistent drivers all season and if he can add some raw power to the No. 43’s repertoire, he will quickly become fantasy relevant.
May 31 - 6:55 PM

Kasey Kahne kept his Chevrolet in contention in the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover International Speedway and took advantage of a two-tire strategy at the end of the race to gain track position. He held off Martin Truex Jr. and the majority of the field to finish fourth.

That was Kahne’s second top-five of the season and snapped a three-race streak of results outside the top 10. Fantasy owners want to wait and see what kind of consistency he develops, but Kahne could be on the rise.
May 31 - 6:50 PM

Kyle Larson raced with the leaders all afternoon and had the right strategy at the end of the FedEx 400 at Dover International Speedway; he finished third, which was his first top-five of the season. Larson spent nearly 80 percent of the race inside the top 10.

Larson has had a rocky couple of months and this was his first top-10 since Bristol Motor Speedway’s Food City 500. Bristol is a minor comparative to Dover, so Larson’s strong run was anticipated by some fantasy owners.
May 31 - 5:21 PM

Kevin Harvick finished second in the FedEx 400 benefiting Autism Speaks at Dover International Speedway to score his 11th first- or second-place finish in his past 16 attempts dating back to last fall’s AAA 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.

Harvick has been unrelenting this season and he defines the concept of place-and-hold driver. Since he has run so well, it is difficult for fantasy owners to get an advantage; most of the competition has the No. 4 on their roster as well.
May 31 - 5:12 PM

Jimmie Johnson took the lead for the first time with about 15 laps remaining in regulation at Dover International Speedway and scored his 10th victory on this tough old track.

Three of his wins on this track came in the last four races, which is a feat of dominance that is hard to find in Modern Day NASCAR. Fantasy owners who played it safe were rewarded. Next week’s venue Pocono Raceway is another predictable track that often goes to marquee teams.
May 31 - 4:47 PM

Chris Eggleston, the Erie, Colorado, driver muscled his No. 99 NAPA Filters/H20 Fire Protection Toyota past James Bickford with five laps remaining and claimed the checkered flag in the Bill Schmitt Memorial 150 at California's Shasta Speedway.

It was the third win in nine career NASCAR K&N Pro Series West starts for the 26-year-old, who is running his first full-time season for Bill McAnally Racing. With the win, Eggleston also took over the championship points lead by 12 over Gracin Raz and 15 over Noah Gragson.
