Ron Beauchamp, Jr. won his first pole position of the season and fifth of his career Saturday for the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series presented by Mobil 1 event at Autodrome St. Eustache.

Beauchamp had a lap of 17.307 seconds (83.203 mph) around the .4-mile oval to take the top spot for the National 250. It was his first pole since July of 2012 at Vernon. Scott Steckly, who is coming off a pair of wins, qualified second at 17.315 (83.165), followed by Martin Roy at 17.334 (83.074).-NASCAR PR

Andy Seuss (No. 11 Northeast Race Cars/Ideal Finance Chevrolet) has 21 wins, 12 poles, 66 top fives and 86 top 10s in 108 career NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour starts. His 21 wins rank second all-time.

The two-time defending champion won last year at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, NC, Bristol and South Boston. He had five top fives and eight top 10s in 10 races. Ranks second to George Brunnhoelzl III with 11 career wins at Caraway. Also has nine poles, 26 top fives, 34 top 10s and led a record 1,678 laps led in 45 total starts there. Four of his five career wire-to-wire wins have come at Caraway, including the first two races held in 2014 at the track.

Gary Putnam (No. 77 Curb Records Chevrolet) has 27 top 10s in 59 career NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour starts with a career best finish of fifth at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, NC in 2013.

Finished in the top 10 in the final 2015 standings with six top 10s in 10 races, equaling his career-best showing of eighth place in 2014. Has 11 top 10s and an average finish of 11th in 25 career starts at Caraway.

This will be his first K&N Pro Series East start at Columbus (Ohio) Motor Speedway. Earned his best finish, third, at VIRginia International Raceway.

Has competed in all but one race (2005-Martinsville Speedway) in the tour’s previous 11 seasons. Finished 2015 a career-best third place in the final standings as the only driver to finish in the top 10 in every race all season. Is the only driver to participate in all 58 previous NWSMT races at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, NC, where he has a win (2013), a pole (2015), 22 top fives and a record 44 top 10s. Won the Coors Light Pole Award in the season opener and established the current track qualifying record last season with a fast time of 15.563 seconds (105.250 mph).

Won the season opener and the most recent race at Caraway Speedway in Sophia, NC in April and now has four wins, a record 13 poles, 23 top fives and 41 top 10s in 56 career Caraway starts. Was the NWSMT’s inaugural event pole sitter at Caraway, and won the second-ever race there on April 9, 2005.
