Drissi, a road course specialist from Hollywood, California will be making his 3rd career Sprint Cup Series start. Tomy and the #87 team will be promoting the movie, The Counselor which will be released on October 25, 2013, Directed by Ridley Scott and will feature Brad Pitt, Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz. Crew chief Luke Lambert told NBC Sports he’s signed a new deal with Richard Childress Racing and will serve as rookie Daniel Hemric’s crew chief on the No. 31 car next season.

It will make the first time Lambert has worked with a young driver. He’s previously worked with veteran drivers Jeff Burton and Ryan Newman. Lambert had been with Newman the past five seasons. Newman moves to Roush Fenway Racing for 2019.-NBC Sports

NASCAR handed down a penalty to Aric Almirola's No. 10 team for "Lug Nut(s) not properly Installed" after last weekend’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series event at Homestead.

Infraction: Sections 10.9.10.4: Tires and Wheels. Note: Lug nut(s) not properly installed. Penalty: Crew chief (John Klausmeier) has been fined $10,000.-NASCAR.com

Austin Dillon scored seven top-15s and a 17th in the final 10 races of the 2018 season.

Dillon's best finished during the playoffs came at Richmond where he finished sixth, but it was his consistency that made him fantasy relevant. That is something this team lacked for much of the season.

Daniel Suarez finished up his 2018 season with results outside the top 25 in the final three races of the season.

Suarez was one of the top dark horses on several occasions during the season, but a rash of incidents in the closing races left fantasy players with a bad taste. We now await word of his 2019 plans.

Aric Almirola ended the 2018 season with an seven-race streak of top-15s that included a win at Talladega.

Almirola's average in the last seven races was eighth and that was a big part of the reason he finished fifth in the points. In many ways, Almirola was the best value at Stewart-Haas given his salary cap compared to his teammates.

Brad Keselowski failed to advance to the final round of the playoffs, but he finished on a high note with four results of sixth or better in his last five races of 2018.

If momentum can carry over from one season to the next, Team Penske is in a good situation. Keselowski's solid finish plus Joey Logano's championship should allow them to take off quickly in 2019.
