Adding another first to the list, Brennan Newberry and the No. 24 Qore-24 team will make their first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) start at Bristol Motor Speedway this Wednesday for the UNOH 200.

Said Newberry: "Bristol Motor Speedway is a historic track that I've always dreamed of racing on. BMS is another track that I haven't been to, and one that requires a lot of respect. My background is short track racing, so Bristol is a place that I am going to be very comfortable and confident racing on."-NTS Motorsports

With a lap of 184.535 mph, Kevin Harvick had the fastest lap in the second round of qualification for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Harvick was almost perfect in regard to top-10s last year. He will be expensive in salary cap games, but well worth it if he fits the appropriate niche on your roster.

Chase Elliott and the team "just didn’t hit it right today" and failed to advance to the second round of qualification. He will roll off the grid 27th on Sunday with a speed of 181.082 mph compared to Brad Keselowski’s 186.434.

As with Martin Truex Jr.—who failed to clear inspection—Elliott will be a hidden gem in games that offer place-differential points. He should still contend for a top-five.

Martin Truex Jr. did not get through inspection on time and failed to make a qualification attempt for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

There is some hidden good news in that stat, however. Failing to make an attempt will force Truex to start at the back of the pack and that insures he is going to earn major place-differential points. He is still expected to finish among the top five.

Darrell Wallace Jr. posted the fastest time among the two rookies on Friday in the first practice session for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Wallace’s top speed of 185.834 mph was the third best of the day behind Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Kyle Larson. Coming off an impressive second-place finish in the Daytona 500, he has a ton of momentum on his side and that is translating into speed on the similarly-configured, 1.5-mile track.
Feb 23 - 1:40 PM

On Friday afternoon, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. posted the fastest single lap of the first practice session for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway with a speed of 186.384 mph.

Stenhouse’s fast lap came in the final minutes of practice when most drivers think the track was getting slicker. This puts him at the forefront of most fantasy players’ minds for a potential pole-winning run. Stenhouse has one previous pole on this track, which came in his rookie season of 2013. He finished 16th in that race.

With 13 minutes remaining, Ryan Blaney almost wrecked in the first practice session of the weekend for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Blaney was only 19th on the speed chart at the time with a top speed of 182.531 mph. He still has one practice on Saturday to work this condition out of the car.

Ross Chastain has made two previous Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts and has not yet finished within two laps of the leader.

Chastain’s two starts last year came at Dover International Speedway, which is one of the toughest tracks to remain on the lead lap. He finished three laps down in the spring with a 20th and was 52 laps behind in the fall. Atlanta Motor Speedway will be equally challenging and he is recommended only if one needs a bargain basement option.

Joey Logano entered last year’s GoBowling.com 400 at Kansas Speedway with five consecutive results of sixth or better on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks, but an accident in that race practically stopped him in his tracks.

Logano finished 37th at Kansas and went on to finish outside the top 20 in four of his next six races on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile courses. He failed to earn another top-five on this track type and that factors into his handicap as much as the sixth he scored at Atlanta Motor Speedway last spring.
Feb 23 - 10:27 AM

Kurt Busch has back-to-back top-10s to his credit at Atlanta Motor Speedway, with a seventh last spring and a fourth in 2016.

Another reason to think of Busch as a starter this week is because of his second at Kansas Speedway last fall and a ninth at Texas Motor Speedway—two tracks similarly configured to Atlanta. However, he also finished outside the top 10 five times in 10 starts on this course type and that makes him an iffy proposition.
Feb 23 - 10:26 AM

Harrison Rhodes will make his Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series debut this week in the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Rick Ware’s No. 51.

Rhodes has made 84 Xfinity starts with two top-10s to his credit, but none of them have come on similarly-configured, 1.5-mile tracks. His best effort on this course type was a 22nd and Charlotte Motor Speedway last fall. He finished 24th at Atlanta last spring in the second series.
Feb 23 - 10:24 AM

Brad Keselowski enters the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 as the defending winner of the race, but he faded late in the year.

After Kez won at Atlanta Motor Speedway, he posted three more similarly-configured, 1.5-mile track results of sixth or better. A pair of accidents at Charlotte Motor Speedway and Kentucky Speedway in the summer seemed to rob him of his momentum in the fall, however, and he had just two more top-10s after that streak.
