Danica Patrick will drive in the Daytona 500 for Premium Motorsports, the Associated Press reported Monday, finalizing the first stage in her plan to compete in the "Danica Double" in 2018.

She will pilot the No. 7 GoDaddy Chevrolet for Premium Motorsports with Tony Eury Jr. atop the pit box, the AP reported, reuniting her with both the number and crew chief with which she began her NASCAR career. "I couldn’t have written a better story about how this would all fall into place," Patrick told AP. "Going with the flow is working out beautifully. … It all makes my last NASCAR race just that much sweeter." Patrick’s plans for the second leg of the "Danica Double" — the Indianapolis 500 — have not yet been finalized.

A year after qualifying into the 2017 Daytona 500, Gaunt Brothers Racing and D.J. Kennington are returning to Daytona Beach, Fla. for the 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season opener on Sunday, Feb. 18.

GBR will field the No. 96 Toyota Camry for Kennington in the 60th running of the 500, allowing the team's Canadian owner, Marty Gaunt, and their Canadian driver another crack at The Great American Race. British Columbia-based Lordco Auto Parts and Castrol (Wakefield Canada), a longtime Kennington partner, will co-sponsor the effort. Kennington is a two-time NASCAR Pinty's Series champion and 19-time Pinty's Series race winner.-GBR

The Love’s Travel Stops and Front Row Motorsports partnership will extend into a sixth season in 2018. The familiar yellow and red Love’s paint scheme will return to the No. 34 Ford Fusion for 18 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races with driver Michael McDowell.

The Oklahoma City, Okla.-based company will adorn the No. 34 for a half-season schedule that includes the season-opening Daytona 500, both races at the company’s home track of Texas Motor Speedway, the Bristol Night Race and the Darlington Raceway throwback weekend. Derrick Finley will be the one calling the shots atop the No. 34 pit box in 2018. Finley has been named crew chief for McDowell’s team after serving in the same role for Front Row Motorsports’ No. 38 team in 2017.-Front Row Motorsports

ThorSport Racing will partner with Ford Performance for the upcoming 2018 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season and beyond.

Racing into its 23rd year of competition, the team looks to add to its notable history with support from the manufacturer. Matt Crafton returns for his 14th consecutive season, continuing his partnership with Menards in the NCWTS. A full driver and sponsor lineup for ThorSport Racing will be released in the near future ahead of the season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250, Friday, Feb. 16, at Daytona International Speedway. Kaulig Racing (KR) announced the addition of primary sponsorship for the 2018 NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) season. Bar Harbor Foods® and Sea Watch® International will serve as primary sponsors on the No. 11 that will be driven by Ryan Truex.

Starting with the season opener on February 17th, and for the next nine NXS races of the season, Bar Harbor® Foods and Sea Watch® International will adorn the blue, green and black Chevy Camaro. For the past two seasons, LeafFilter Gutter Protection™ has maintained the primary sponsor honor (with the exception of July Daytona 2016). For the first 10 NXS races, LeafFilter will serve as an associate sponsor, along with Matt Kaulig's other Kaulig Companies. Online lighting retailer 1000Bulbs.com will return to the No. 38 Ford Fusion in 2018, partnering with driver David Ragan for four Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races.

The Garland, Texas-based company agreed to the multi-race deal after Front Row Motorsports introduced it to the NASCAR landscape in November, when 1000Bulbs.com sponsored Ragan's team at Phoenix International Raceway. On the 2018 schedule, 1000Bulbs.com will join the No. 38 team for races at Auto Club Speedway (March), Texas Motor Speedway (April), Dover International Speedway (October) and Homestead-Miami Speedway (November).-FRM

With the release of a new paint scheme, BRANDT Professional Agriculture, a leading agriculture retailer and manufacturer of agricultural specialty products, announced the continuation of its sponsorship with JR Motorsports and championship contender, Justin Allgaier, for 19 races in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) for the 2018 season.

This marks the third year of partnership for BRANDT and JRM, and the eighth season for BRANDT and Allgaier. Over the past two seasons at JRM, Allgaier has captured an impressive two wins, 23 top-five and 44 top-10 finishes, placing third in the NXS standings each year.

Shriners Hospitals for Children® will once again sponsor David Ragan and Front Row Motorsports’ (FRM) No. 38 Ford Fusion in 2018. They will be the primary sponsor of Ragan during three Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series races: Dover on May 6, Daytona on July 7 and Bristol on August 18.

For a third consecutive year, Shriners Hospitals for Children will support the on-track efforts of Ragan, who has a close relationship with the health care system. He has been a member of Shriners International since 2012 and serves as its NASCAR ambassador. He visits Shriners Hospitals during the race season and invites patients to the track for once-in-a-lifetime experiences. He also raises awareness and funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children through various campaigns, public service announcements, donations and activities.

Travis Braden is preparing for his first full ARCA Racing Series schedule, starting with the Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire at Daytona Int'l Speedway Saturday, Feb. 10.

The 23-year-old West Virginia University graduate, with degrees in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, is viewed as a rising star in the racing world and will compete on the full ARCA tour with RFMS Racing in the No. 27 Ford. Though this will be his first full season in ARCA, Braden is no stranger to the racing world. At tracks in Columbus and Xenia, Ohio, Braden earned more than 100 victories before he was 13, and at age 17 he won 10 times en route to the Columbus Speedway track championship, the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWASS) state championship and the NWASS national Rookie of the Year, all before graduating from high school.

Roush Fenway Racing announced on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio that Team Penske driver Austin Cindric will pilot the No. 60 RFR Ford in the Power Shares QQQ 300 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Daytona International Speedway.

Cindric, 19, is one of the three Ford drivers that comprise the Roush 60 Team that also includes Ty Majeski and Chase Briscoe. Mike Kelley, who won the 2011 and 2012 NXS title with Ricky Stenhouse Jr., will be the crew chief for the car.-Motorsport.com (via jayski.com)

GoDaddy will return to be Danica Patrick‘s sponsor for the Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500, the company announced Thursday.

Patrick said in November that she would retire from racing after competing in those two events. She has yet to secure a ride for either race but that was slowed by the lack of sponsorship until Thursday’s announcement. A Chip Ganassi Racing executive said last week that the team was no longer in discussions with Patrick for her to drive for the team in either race.
