Hendrick Motorsports (HMS) and driver Chase Elliott have agreed to a four-year contract extension that will keep the 2016 NASCAR Cup Series rookie of the year with the No. 24 Chevrolet SS team through the end of the 2022 racing season.

Elliott signed with HMS in February 2011 as a 15-year-old high school freshman. In 2016, he earned a Cup playoff berth and was the series' top rookie after posting 10 top-five finishes, 17 top-10s and two pole positions, including the season-opening Daytona 500. Through 16 points races of his sophomore season, he is sixth in the Cup standings.-HMS

Ryan Reed (No. 16 Lilly Diabetes Ford Mustang) has seven starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) at Daytona International Speedway (DIS).

He took home the checkered flag in the 2017 season opener at Daytona. Reed started the race second, took two spins through the grass during the race, but in the end took the lead and held off Cup Series regulars to earn his second win at Daytona. In his seven starts Reed has earned two wins, three top-five and four top-10 finishes. In 2015 he captured his first NXS Series win in the season-opener at Daytona. Elliott Sadler (No. 1 Chevrolet Accessories Chevrolet Camaro) finished eighth in Saturday night's NASCAR XFINITY Series American Ethanol E15 250 at Iowa Speedway.

He started fourth on the grid and completed all of the 250 laps run. Sadler retains his position as the points leader in the 2017 NXS championship standings after the event, leading Justin Allgaier (finished ninth in the race) by 25 points.

He started 11th in the lineup and completed 249 laps of the 250 laps run. Hemric is currently fourth in the 2017 NXS driver championship point standings after this event, 146 points behind leader Elliott Sadler.
