Kurt Busch finished fifth in the Bad Boy Off Road 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, which was his first top-five finish in the past 10 races.

In the nine races between his fourth-place finish at Kentucky Speedway and this fifth-place effort, Busch scored only two top-10s and had an average result of 18th. Busch’s solid run elevated him to 11th in the standings with a 15-point cushion over Jamie McMurray and Austin Dillon who are tied for 13th. A top-15 at Dover International Speedway will allow Busch to advance, so long as one of the drivers outside the top 12 does not win.

Brad Keselowski posted a fourth-place finish in the Bad Boy Off Road 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway to give him a 35-point cushion over the bubble. All he needs at Dover International Speedway is to stay out of trouble and he will advance to round two of the Chase.

This is Keselowski’s sixth top-five in the past eight races. He also has a ninth in that span of events and the only time he failed to finish in the top-10 was at Bristol Motor Speedway when he suffered crash damage. Keselowski will stay out of trouble at Dover and will be one of the top fantasy values.

Kyle Busch finished third in the Bad Boy Off Road 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway after starting 12th. His solid run has him seeded fourth in the standings entering next week’s round one finale at Dover International Speedway.

Busch was not flashy during the afternoon, but this is the type of performance that got him to the finale two years ago. He led only three laps at New Hampshire, but posted 39 fast trips around the track to earn major points for fantasy owners.

Matt Kenseth led 105 of 300 laps in the Bad Boy Off Road 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, but got passed by Kevin Harvick with eight laps remaining. He finished second after starting eighth.

This has been a good track for Kenseth in recent years and so has Dover International Speedway. The No. 20 driver has now finished first or second in his last three New Hampshire races and with two more short, flat track races in the Chase, he has a good opportunity to advance to the finale.

Kevin Harvick won the Bad Boy Off Road 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway after taking the lead during a late-race restart with eight laps remaining.

This was Harvick’s 11th victory in his 100th start with Stewart-Haas Racing and it gives the team an automatic advance to the second round of the Chase. This is also his eighth Chase victory, tying him for second with Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart. Harvick spent most of the day in the top 10, but only led the eight laps at the end.

Todd Gilliland capitalized on a mistake made by Ryan Partridge late in the NAPA Auto Parts/Idaho 208 to take home his sixth NASCAR K&N Pro Series West trophy of the year.

Gilliland started the race fifth and moved into second behind Partridge, who had led a total of 121 laps before being overtaken by the NASCAR Next driver. Partridge held off a charging Gilliland until late in the race when the Gilliland slipped past him for the lead with 73 laps remaining. This started the back and forth lead change between the two championship contenders for the duration of the 208-lap event. Gilliland will head into the season finale with a 25-point lead over Partridge (558-533).
