Phoenix Racing named Jimmy Elledge as its interim crew chief for the remainder of the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season.

The move reunites Elledge with Justin Allgaier who will be in the No. 51 Chevrolet 2 out of the last 6 races. Elledge was Allgaier's crew chief for the 2011 and 2012 NNS season in the No. 31 BRANDT Chevrolet for Tuner Scott Motorsports. Brian Scott and the No. 2 Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff Chevrolet Camaro qualified for the Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the 10th position.

Scott battled inside the top-10 for the majority of the 100-lap event at the historic track. On the final restart of the event, Scott was scored in the 11th position and gained four positions when he took the checkered flag finishing seventh. His finish secured his position in the final Nationwide Insurance Dash 4 Cash program at Iowa Speedway next week.-Richard Childress Racing

Dylan Lupton finishes 2nd in Saturday night's NASCAR K&N Pro Series-West race at Colorado National Speedway in Dacono, CO.

He started the No. 9 Sunrise Ford/Lucas Oil/Eibach Ford 5th on the grid for the NAPA Auto Parts/Toyota 150. Lupton led one lap in the race. He is currently 2nd in the 2014 NASCAR K&N Pro Series-West point standings after this event.

Joey McColm credited with last place (17th) in Saturday night's NASCAR Canadian Tire Series race at Quebec's Autodrome St-Eustache.

He started the No. 25 Canada's Best Store Fixtures Dodge 8th on the grid for the National 250. On Lap 39, McColm got into the wall exiting Turn 4, sustained right rear and left front damage and was done for the night. McColm is currently 8th in the 2014 Canadian Tire Series championship standings after this event.

Richard Petty Motorsports (RPM) left the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and flew directly to the road course in Watkins Glen, New York for a two-day test session for Marcos Ambrose and Aric Almirola beginning today, July 28th.

The goal of the test will be to collect information to help give Ambrose and Almirola the best setup possible before returning in two weeks for the race. If Ambrose can win the event, it will help secure him and Almirola into the championship run at the end of the season. RPM heads to this test this week with Almirola nearly locked into The Chase and giving Ambrose its full efforts to secure his spot too.-Breaking Limits

Kurt Busch finished 28th in the Brickyard 400. It was his worst finish since scoring a 40th at Charlotte in May.

In the past eight races Busch has scored an average finish of 13.3 with nearly all of his results in the teens. He has been a provisionally good value for fantasy owners when he has managed to avoid trouble.

Since winning the Coke Zero 400 and making claim to one of the Chase slots, Aric Almirola has finished in the 20s in his last two races. He finished 21st in the Brickyard 400.

After hitting the wall in qualification and starting at the back of the pack, it seemed unlikely that he would crack the top 25. He beat that projection by four spots, so his effort could be described as a minor success.

David Mayhew finishes 14th in Saturday night's NASCAR K&N Pro Series-West race at Colorado National Speedway in Dacono, CO.

He started the No. 17 MMI Services/Ron's Rear Ends Chevrolet on the pole for the NAPA Auto Parts/Toyota 150. He led 20 laps but lost the lead to Brandon McReynolds. He continued to contend for the lead until an accident with a lapped car on Lap 81 forced him to pit road. Mayhew returned to the track just before Lap 100, finishing the event in the 14th position. He is currently 4th in the 2014 NASCAR K&N Pro Series-West point standings after this event.
