His average speed of 197.774 mph was best of the 24 cars that ran 10 consecutive laps on the track for this session. No. 1 Jamie McMurray, No. 88 Dale Earnhardt Jr., No. 99 Carl Edwards and No. 11 Denny Hamlin are the rest of the top five on this list.

Matt Crafton (No. 88 Ideal Door/Menards Toyota Tundra) won the Eldora Dirt Derby 150, his 14th victory in 395 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) races.

This is his first victory and seventh top-10 finish in 2017. It is his first victory and fifth top-10 finish in five races at Eldora Speedway. Pole-sitter Stewart Friesen (finished second), who led 93 laps of the 150-lap event, posted his first top-10 finish in two races at Eldora. It is his first top-10 finish in 2017. Chase Briscoe (third) posted his first top-10 finish at Eldora. Grant Enfinger (fourth) was the highest finishing Rookie of the Year contender. Johnny Sauter (23rd) leads the NCWTS point standings by 7 points over Christopher Bell (ninth).

Brandon Ward, of Winston-Salem, N.C., has been the driver to beat this season on the Southern Modified Racing Series. Ward has three wins and sits atop the season-long point standings.

Ward’s three victories came in consecutive races; Orange County (March 25), Concord (April 1) and Southern National (April 8). Brandon has enjoyed success in so many forms of racing and that continues this season with the SMRS.

Halfway through the 2017 Southern Modified Racing Series schedule and Concord’s Bobby Measmer Jr. is currently second in the point standings.

With an average finish of better than fourth, Measmer has been a constant front-runner this season on the tour. His finishes: second, sixth, second, fourth, fourth and fifth. It’s not a matter of "if" Measmer wins, it’s a matter of "when" and then "how many". He scored one SMRS victory last year at his home track Concord Speedway; he is a former track champion there.

Jeremy Gerstner of Wesley Chapel, FL currently is third in the season long point standings for the 2017 Southern Modified Racing Series.

He became the eighth driver to win a SMRS race in the series most recent event, a July 1st race at Hickory. In the six races this season, he has five top-five finishes. Gerstner puts a lot of mile on following the SMRS tour as his travel time from Florida to North Carolina is between nine and 10 hours. When not wheeling the No. 15 Shady Grady Racing car on the SMRS tour, Jeremy fields his own car on the Florida Modified Tour.

This weekend will mark the first time in William Byron’s career that he has raced at the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Byron has picked up one win (Daytona II) and two top-10 finishes on tracks measuring 2.5-miles in length or larger this season. The No. 9 Liberty University Chevrolet Camaro driver captured five top-10 finishes in the past five races, accumulating 228 points, the most of any NASCAR XFINITY Series regular during that span.-JR Motorsports

At the midway point of the 2017 Southern Modified Racing Series season, Danny Bohn, of Freehold, N.J. sits fourth in the point standings.

He is six-for-six with top-10 finishes with three of those being top-fives. His best finish, to date is a second at Orange County on March 25. The modified roots run deep for Danny, he’s a third-generation modified racer who now resides in Mooresville, N.C. His grandfather Parker and father Eddie both competed in modified racing at Wall Stadium in New Jersey.

Jason Myers, of Walnut Cove, NC is fifth in the season long standings for the Southern Modified Racing Series at the halfway point of the 2017 season.

It’s been an amazingly consistent season for Myers with finishes of sixth, fourth, fourth, seventh, second and sixth in the six races thus far. With runs like the first six this season it’s only a matter of time before he finds himself in victory lane. Myers has one series win, a September 2016 victory at Dillon (S.C.) Motor Speedway. His second-place finish was in April at Caraway Speedway.

Following the event at New Hampshire, Elliott Sadler (No. 1 OneMain Financial Chevrolet Camaro) continues to lead the NASCAR XFINITY Series point standings.

He has held the lead for all but two of the 17 weeks, so far. In five NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Virginia native has one top-five finish and two top-10 finishes, holding an average finish of 10.8. In their last three events at tracks 2.5 miles or longer, Sadler and the OneMain Financial team have two runner-up finishes (Talladega and Daytona II) and one fourth-place finish (Pocono).-JR Motorsports

With the Southern Modified Series at the halfway point, Tobacoville, N.C. driver Tim Brown is sixth in the point standings.

Brown struggled a little early, but has rallied back strong in the last three races, including a victory the last time the tour visited Caraway Speedway. Brown is a 10-time track champion at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, where he has 84 victories – the most of any driver at the historic track. Brown has five victories overall this year – four at "The Stadium" and the Caraway win on April 14th.

Thad Moffitt thought Lucas Oil Raceway was awesome on the iRacing simulator. The Trinity, N.C. rookie likes it even more now that he's had the chance to test on the renowned short track on the west side of Indianapolis.

Moffitt (No. 46 Empire Racing Group Ford) was one of several drivers who tested Sunday in preparation for the Sioux Chief PowerPEX 200 coming this Friday night, July 21. Moffitt, the grandson of "The King" Richard Petty, will be making his third ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards start of his young career at Lucas Oil.

Stewart Friesen (No. 52 Halmar International Chevrolet Silverado) won the Keystone Light Pole Award for tonight's 5th Annual Eldora Dirt Derby 150 with a lap of 90.000 mph.

This is his first pole in 15 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) races. It is his first top-10 start of 2017. Chase Briscoe (second) posted his eighth top-10 start of 2017 and his first at Eldora Speedway. Kaz Grala (third), the fastest qualifying Rookie of the Year contender, posted his first top-10 start at Eldora Speedway. It is his fifth in 11 races this season.
