Sprint Cup regular Matt Kenseth has the best 10-lap consecutive average speed in the Happy Hour practice for the Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge at Texas Motor Speedway.

The average speed of 178.045 mph in the No. 18 Toyota was best of the 11 cars that ran 10 consecutive laps on the track for this final practice session. No. 33 Ty Dillon, No. 54 Kyle Busch, No. 30 Nelson Piquet Jr. and No. 32 Kyle Larson are the rest of the top five on this list.

Before competing in his regular No. 33 GEICO Chevrolet SS in Saturday night's Cup Series Coke Zero 400, Ty Dillon will pilot the No. 3 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) Coca-Cola Firecracker 250 at Daytona Int'l Speedway on Saturday.

Dillon has eight previous NXS starts at the superspeedway, with his highest finish of third place coming in 2015. He also secured a pole award for the 2016 season-opening race. Earlier this year, Dillon was in line for a Top-5 finish in Daytona but fuel pressure issues in the closing laps forced him to the back of the pack. He also has three previous Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series starts and three NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts.-Richard Childress Racing

Daytona Beach native Ben Kennedy (No. 2 Rheem Chevrolet Camaro) will race at the speedway his family built for the first time as a NASCAR XFINITY Series driver this weekend.

Kennedy has three previous starts at Daytona International Speedway in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, with a best finish of 15th coming in 2014. Although he has yet to race at Daytona in the XFINITY Series, he does have a previous NXS superspeedway start for Richard Childress Racing (RCR) earlier this year, garnering an impressive fourth-place finish at Talladega.-RCR

Jeb Burton (No. 24 Estes Express Lines Toyota) will be making his second career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Daytona International Speedway.

This goes along with two previous starts in the Camping World Truck Series and one in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Burton has a best finish of fifth at the Daytona Beach, FL track which came in the Camping World Truck Series during the 2013 season.-Integrity Sports Marketing

Dakoda Armstrong (No. 28 WinField United Toyota) will be making his eighth career NASCAR XFINITY Series start at Daytona International Speedway to go along with two previous starts in the Camping World Truck Series.

Armstrong has a best XFINITY Series finish of sixth at Daytona to go along with one Pole Award which came in the July race during the 2014 season. Armstrong and his No. 28 WinField United Toyota finished 12th in the NASCAR XFINITY Series season opener at Daytona in February.-Integrity Sports Marketing

William Byron (No. 9 Axalta/Vorteq Chevrolet Camaro) captured his first NASCAR XFINITY Series win last weekend in Iowa and is now locked into the NXS playoffs.

Byron has one previous NXS start at Daytona International Speedway, which came in the 2017 season opener, where he captured his first top-10 finish, placing ninth. The 19-year-old continues to lead the Sunoco Rookie of the Year standings by 31 points over Daniel Hemric. Byron remains third in the NXS championship standings, 57 markers behind teammate Elliott Sadler.-JR Motorsports

The summer Daytona race is a strong suit for Michael Annett (No. 5 Pilot Flying J Chevrolet Camaro), as he has logged his best two NASCAR XFINITY Series finishes in that event. Annett was third in the 2012 race and sixth a year earlier. He finished 14th earlier this season in his first race with JR Motorsports.

In 11 NXS starts at the 2.5-mile superspeedway, Annett has a top-five and two top-10 finishes. This season on restrictor-plate tracks, he has an average finish of 10.5. His last plate start, at Talladega in May, resulted in a seventh-place finish. Last week at Iowa Speedway, Annett earned his best finish of the season, placing sixth.-JR Motorsports

In 13 NASCAR XFINITY Series starts at Daytona Int'l Speedway, Justin Allgaier (No. 7 TradeMark Nitrogen Chevrolet Camaro) has three top-five and six top-10 finishes.

Last year, in the race under the lights at Daytona, the 31-year-old driver placed second in a photo finish to Aric Almirola. Allgaier finished eighth at Talladega earlier this spring after leading 24 laps. This season, he has led 11.3 percent of total laps of competition, the most of any NXS regular. With 14 races complete, he has led 291 laps on the year. This weekend, the Illinois native will run a patriotic scheme featuring sponsor TradeMark Nitrogen.-JR Motorsports

Eric Goodale (No. 58 GAF Roofing Chevrolet) finished sixth in Saturday night's NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) Buzz Chew Chevrolet-Cadillac 200 at Riverhead (NY) Raceway.

He started 10th in the lineup and completed all laps of the 208-lap race. Goodale, who competed in all six NWMT races so far this season, is currently third in the 2017 championship standings after this event.

He started 15th in the lineup and completed 207 laps of the 208-lap race. Zachem, who competed in all six NWMT races so far this season, dropped one spot to fifth in the 2017 championship standings after this event.

Rowan Pennink (No. 3 Cape Cod Copper/Buzz Chew Chevy-Cadillac Chevrolet) finished seventh in Saturday night's NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) Buzz Chew Chevrolet-Cadillac 200 at Riverhead (NY) Raceway.

He started eighth in the lineup and completed all laps of the 208-lap race. Pennink is currently second in the 2017 NWMT championship standings after this event, 13 points behind leader (and race winner) Timmy Solomito.
