Brandon McReynolds (No. 16 Toyota) is at the top of the speed chart in the final practice leading to the K&NPS-West NAPA Auto Parts/Toyota 150 at Colorado National Speedway in Dacono, Colorado.

He put up a 78.635 mph lap in the final practice. No. 6 James Bickford, No. 17 David Mayhew, No. 99 Chris Eggleston and No. 9 Dylan Lupton are the rest of the top five and No. 14 Rich DeLong Jr. was the slowest of the 17 cars running in this final session.

Kyle Busch has the greatest average improvement from qualification to race conditions. In nine starts he has advanced 9.33 positions to score an average finish of 11.56. He will start 12th for Sunday’s race.

Busch has room to improve this week as well and if he does that almost certainly means a top-10 finish.
Jul 26 - 4:05 PM

Juan Pablo Montoya has the worst average place differential at Indianapolis Motor Speedway among active drivers with a drop of 13.86 positions in seven previous starts. He will start eighth for Sunday’s race.

Many of his biggest disappointments came because of crash damage, however, so this should not impact his handicap to a significant degree. Even if he loses a few positions, he will be one of this week’s best values.
Jul 26 - 4:05 PM

Kevin Harvick dominated all three qualification sessions at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and grabbed the pole for Sunday’s Brickyard 400 with a speed of 188.470 mph. Harvick also set a new track record of 188.889 mph, which was set in the first round of time trials

Two of the last six Brickyard 400s have been won from the pole including last year’s race by Ryan Newman. Track position is incredibly important at Indy, so this improves Harvick’s fantasy odds. Equally important, Harvick has finished first or second in the last five races in which he started first.
Jul 26 - 3:11 PM

Matt Crafton, David Stremme, and Brett Moffitt are the three drivers who failed to qualify for the Crown Royal 400.

Fantasy owners need to make certain that these drivers are not on their roster. Moffitt was considered to be a dark horse contender to finish in the top 30, so he showed some fantasy relevance before his DNQ (Did Not Qualify).
Jul 26 - 2:45 PM

Aric Almirola slapped the wall hard in the first qualification session for the Crown Royal 400 and retired for the afternoon. He will be forced to take an owner’s provisional to get into the race and will start at the back of the grid.

Things have not gone particularly well for Almirola since making a claim for his spot in the Chase with a victory at Daytona. Last week he finished 23rd after starting mid pack in 19th, so his odds of finishing well this week are not very good.
Jul 26 - 2:34 PM

Alex Labbe (No. 72 Dodge) is at the top of the speed chart in the final practice leading to the Canadian Tire Series National 250 at Autodrome St-Eustache (Quebec).

The 83.638 mph lap was the best of the 16 cars out on the track. No. 22 Scott Steckly, No. 18 Alex Tagliani, No. 76 Jeff Lapcevich and No. 39 Alex Guenette are the rest of the top five and No. 56 Matthew Scannell is the slowest in this final session.
Jul 26 - 2:24 PM

Tommy Joe Martins (No. 76 Ford Mustang) does not qualify for the Nationwide Series Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The team is outside the top 30 in owner’s points and not guaranteed a start in this weekend’s NNS race. Based on NASCAR's time trial knockout procedure, upon completion of the first round of qualifying, the 40 eligible cars for starting positions 1-40 is determined. His car was listed as 42nd on the chart.
Jul 26 - 1:56 PM

Kevin Lepage (No. 74 The Thirty Days Foundation Dodge) will miss the Nationwide Series Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Jul 26 - 1:52 PM

Ty Dillon (No. 3 Chevrolet Camaro) is the top rookie qualifier for the Nationwide Series Lilly Diabetes 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

The lap of 178.402 mph was third fastest, ahead of the rest of the 2014 Rookie of the Year contenders qualifying for the race. This is Dillon’s 11th top-10 start of 2014.
Jul 26 - 1:44 PM

Sprint Cup regular (No. 18 Toyota Camry) Kyle Busch wins the Coors Light Pole Award for the 3rd Annual Lilly Diabetes 250 with a track record setting lap of 50.031 seconds, 179.888 mph.

This is the No. 54 Toyota driver's 40th pole in 285 NNS races. This is his fourth pole and 13th top-10 NNS start in 2014 and his second pole in three NNS races at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
