Camping World Truck Series regular Christopher Bell, driving the No. 20 GameStop/PowerA Toyota Camry, had the best 10-lap consecutive average speed in the first practice for the XFINITY Series season-ending Ford Ecoboost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, FL.

His average speed of 160.339 mph was best of the 11 cars that ran at least 10 consecutive laps on the track for this session. No. 42 Tyler Reddick, No. 5 Michael Annett, No. 19 Matt Tifft and No. 2 Ben Kennedy make up the rest of the top five on this list.

Tyler Reddick (No. 42 BBR/Granger Smith Chevrolet) led the first practice session for the XFINITY Series season-ending Ford Ecoboost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead, FL.

The lap of 165.598 mph was the best of the 42 cars completing laps in this session. No. 2 Ben Kennedy, No. 00 Cole Custer, No. 20 Christopher Bell and No. 9 William Byron made up the rest of the top-five on the speed chart. The No. 74 Dodge, driven by John Graham, was the slowest.

Timothy Peters will return to Young's Motorsports and compete in Friday night’s season-ending Ford EcoBoost 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway, driving the team’s No. 02 Chevrolet.

Peters, 37, most recently competed in the Truck Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in late Sept, where he delivered an 11th place finish after starting 20th in the Las Vegas 350k. The Danville, Va., native will make his 11th start at the 1.5-mile track on Nov. 17. In his previous 10 starts, Peters has mounted three top-five and seven top-10 finishes, including six consecutive top-10 finishes at Homestead dating back to 2011.

Brandon Jones will be behind the wheel of the Joe Gibbs Racing No. 19 Toyota Camry in the NASCAR XFINITY Series in 2018.

Chris Gabehart will handle the crew chief duties for the team in 2018. Jones has spent the past two seasons driving in the XFINITY Series (Richard Childress Racing). He has also competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS), K&N Pro Series East, and ARCA this season. Over the course of his young career he has built an impressive resume of accomplishments which includes making the Chase in his NASCAR XFINITY Series rookie season (2016), compiling four second-place finishes in NCWTS and picking up a win in the K&N Pro Series (Iowa). He also has four ARCA Series wins, including two consecutive wins at Michigan, and was the first driver in ARCA history to win their first two races.-Joe Gibbs Racing

On the day he competes for his second consecutive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship, GMS Racing officials announced that Johnny Sauter will return to the team for the 2018 season.

Following a career-best season, Sauter will once again pilot the No. 21 Chevrolet Silverado. "I can’t thank the Gallagher family and Mike Beam enough for the opportunity they’ve given me the last two years. To be able to compete at this level, where you know you could win any given weekend, is incredible and I’m excited to be able to continue with the No. 21 team next year."-GMS Racing

He ran a quick lap of 165.239 mph in this session. No. 98 Grant Enfinger, No. 33 Kaz Grala, No. 18 Noah Gragson and No. 4 Christopher Bell round out the top-five of the 28 trucks practicing in this session. Jennifer Jo Cobb in the No. 10 Chevrolet Silverado was the slowest.

He ran a quick lap of 168.629 mph. No. 33 Kaz Grala, No. 4 Christopher Bell, No. 18 Noah Gragson and No. 27 Ben Rhodes round out the top-five of the 28 trucks completing laps in this session. Mike Senica in the No. 57 Chevrolet Silverado was the slowest.

This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s third Homestead-Miami Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 4.0 and an average finishing position of 6.5 at the 1.5-mile track. Nemechek made his NCWTS track debut on November 20, 2015. Speedway Stats: In 39 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded three victories (Chicago, Atlanta and Gateway), 12 top-five and 20 top-10 finishes. Matt Crafton (No. 88 Black Label Bacon/Menards Toyota Tundra) has made 16 starts at Homestead-Miami Speedway since 2001.

His success includes one pole (2015), and 141 laps led en route to one win (2015), three top-five, and eighth top-10 finishes. Among active series drivers, who are entered in Friday night's 134-lap event at HMS, Crafton has the most starts (16), is one of two drivers with a win, is one of three drivers with three top-five finishes, has the most top-10 finishes (8), is the only driver entered with a pole, has completed the most laps (2185), and has led the most laps (141). Crafton, a two-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion, clinched his third consecutive Playoff berth following last Friday night's race at Phoenix International Raceway.
