Swan Racing announced it has successfully restructured the company by finding solutions for the No. 26 and No. 30 teams in an attempt to save the jobs of the crews, the drivers, and to keep those teams competing throughout the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.

The No. 30 team has been sold to John Cohen of XxxTreme Motorsports, which will operate the team going forward and intends to compete with veteran driver J.J. Yeley. With the Citizen Soldier 400 set by owner points, Martin Truex Jr. will roll off the grid from the outside of the front row.

Truex has been capable of winning each of the past four races this season. Starting up front could contribute to his leading laps at the beginning of the 400-miler. Laps click off at a rapid pace on this rhythm track, so Truex should be a great value unless he is outpaced by Keselowski during short bursts of speed.

Rain canceled qualification for the Citizen Soldier 400 and the roster will be set by owner points. That puts Brad Keselowski on the pole as the points’ leader.

All 16 Chase drivers will lineup at the front of the pack for the second time in three races. It minimizes their chance of getting into an accident for those who might start deep in the field, but it also removes one key factor from the fantasy player’s handicap formula.
Sep 30 - 4:46 PM

Alex Bowman (No. 88 Jack Link's Chevrolet Camaro) tops the speed chart in the Final Practice session for the XFINITY Series Drive Sober 200 at Delaware's Dover Int’l Speedway.

He ran a fast lap of 152.304 mph. No. 18 Kyle Busch, No. 22 Joey Logano, No. 1 Elliott Sadler and No. 7 Justin Allgaier round out the top-five of the 41 cars out on the track. The No. 74 Dodge, driven by Mike Harmon, was the slowest in the final practice session.
Sep 30 - 3:36 PM

Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota) is at the top of the speed chart in the lone practice leading to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series season-ending Dover 125 at Delaware's Dover Int’l Speedway.

He put up a 151.426 mph lap. No. 40 Kyle Benjamin, No. 13 Hunter Baize, No. 12 Harrison Burton and No. 44 Dillon Bassett are the rest of the top five and No. 28 Clair Zimmerman was the slowest of the 27 cars running in this session.
Sep 30 - 2:35 PM

Sprint Cup regular Kyle Busch (No. 18 Toyota Camry), driving the No. 18 NOS Energy Drink Toyota, led the first practice session for the XFINITY Series Drive Sober 200 at Delaware's Dover Int’l Speedway.

The lap of 157.729 mph lap was the best of the 37 cars completing laps in this session. No. 20 Erik Jones, No. 88 Alex Bowman, No. 2 Austin Dillon and No. 22 Joey Logano are the rest of the top five on the speed chart. Joey Gase, in the No. 52 Chevrolet Camaro, was the slowest.
Sep 30 - 2:25 PM

Chris Buescher posted the slowest lap among Chase contenders in the first practice session for the Citizen Soldier 400 at Dover. His speed of 160.100 mph was 31st on the overall chart.

His speed was 0.744 seconds slower than the leaders and on a track where times are in the 21 second range, it will not take long to get lapped. Buescher is more expensive than he should be in most salary cap games because of his playoff status and he should be avoided.
Sep 30 - 12:10 PM

Ryan Newman posted the fastest speed among non-Chase contending drivers in the first practice session for the Citizen Soldier 400 at Dover International Speedway. His fastest lap was 164.511 mph.

Newman would like to play the role of spoiler this week, but he has not scored a top-15 in his last three Dover attempts. Wait to see how he performs in Saturday’s practice, but do not make your choice based on qualification; he has started in the top 10 in his last two attempts, but lost a lap in both races.
Sep 30 - 12:06 PM

Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth posted the second- and third-fastest time in the first practice session for the Citizen Soldier 400, and along with Kyle Larson bettered the current qualification record speed.

Edwards’ top speed was 165.122 mph; Kenseth posted a lap of 164.775 mph. Brad Keselowski holds the current record set in June 2014 with a lap of 164.444 mph. Chasers have dominated the speed chart in the first two races of the playoffs and are doing so once again. The top-14 in points is where this week’s fantasy favorites will come from.
Sep 30 - 11:57 AM

Kyle Larson posted the fastest single lap in the first practice session for the Citizen Soldier 400 at Dover International Speedway with a speed of 165.578 mph.

This has been Larson’s best track during his career, but he cannot afford to leave anything to chance. He needs a solid qualification run later on Friday to start up front and avoid as much trouble as possible. That eclipsed June 2014’s speed record in qualification of 164.444 mph set by Brad Keselowski, but records are not officially set in practice.
Sep 30 - 11:36 AM

Jamie McMurray finished 21st in this spring’s AAA 400 at Dover International Speedway, but what he really wants to duplicate is his 2015 success. Last year, he swept the top-10.

His best result last year on this track was a fourth in the fall, but that was not quite enough to advance him to the second round of the Chase. He must have his sight set on winning, but that is something he has never done in Delaware. McMurray finished second in 2006, which is one of only two top-fives at Dover.
Sep 30 - 11:21 AM

Reed Sorenson entered this spring’s AAA 400 with a three-race streak of running at the end of a race at Dover International Speedway. He crashed on lap 204 and failed to finish.

Premium Motorsports is making the most of their opportunities, but it is hard to know how they might have fared with a complete race. For now, there are better dark horse contenders to consider in the Citizen Soldier 400.
